I just make the same job on my 1995 Concorde last day. These bushing are hard to replace. This take me 10 hours to make the same that you. But my Concorde have the 3.3 engine and i noticed that space behind the engine is better, but a metal coolant pipe traveling behind the engine make the space smaller that you. Because my intake is full aluminum, i can sit literaly on the engine without the fear to broke something. This help a lot to see in this tiny space. I dosent remove anything behind the windshild and nothing in the intake to do this job. Just the brake booster pipe that i disconnected from the rear intake part. I'm more younger that you and i can say too that this job give me a lot of pain in my hands. Sometime i droped my tools by the lack of endurance to hold it. The most important hint here is to jack both side of the front of the car before beginning to lose any bolt on this rack and pinion and the car need to be in a perfect floor level. Another hint is to not remove the two tie rod at the same time. You start by one side and when your new kit is bolted with all his parts on you remove the other side and install all the stuff and bolt it. This help to not lose where are the hole threads inside the rack and pinion. With this big plastic accordion you are unable to see anything! I replace the two big u shape bushing that holt the whole rack and pinion on the firewall too. With the help of my wife i previously see the whole rack and pinion moving in these big bushing when she turned the steering slightly right left right left... I dont know if this is normal but they are cheap to buy and easy to replace. Now the whole thing seem strongly holt in place. But i feel each crack on the road and on a highway this is unpleasant for a long ride. The lh platform from 1993 to 1997 have the same rack and pinion setup that you. This include Chrysler New Yorker, Dodge Intrepid, Chrysler Lhs, Eagle Vision and Chrysler concorde with 3.3 and 3.5 engine and 42LE transmission. For info, an interesting fact about these car is they are designed from a Lamborgini Portofino. This explain why these big car turn corner like sport car. Another thing is the seats inside these car. You can swap them with a Lhs leather set that are hundred time more confortable. They are easy to find in junk yard. The electric moving front seat can be easily connected to the lighter circuit and will work perfectly nice. In your chrysler 300M i think you have the best set of seat for this next generation. They seem very cozy for long ride.

Hi I had a question.. I had one tie rod replaced inner on pass side cuz it was rattling badly.. I got front end alignment and the guy at fire stone said he had to use heat on drivers side outer tie rod and he must've damaged the inner drivers side.. so I got the bushing kit .. replaced the driver side. Well a mechanic shop did .. now the steering wheel is a tid to right but it goes straight as arrow . Did he put the bolt in wrong spot on rack ?

Yahooo PTL ! You must be pretty good at drilling out those bolts. I like your very big Cresent (snap on) tool. Just as I call a tissue a kleenex I call water pump pliers a cresent wrench. Some people call cresent wrench an adjustable wrench. Then there's zert and zerk fittings. Isn't that what happen at the tower of Babel. I guess it's what you were taught. Well you can call me Mostlymopar you can call me Mostymarty just don't call me late for dinner. Nice job George bettcha glad it's done. TFS Time for church.
