Great video, I love watching your videos. When you use the white connectors like the ones used with the light indicators and on the deck with the anchor light. As a rule of thumb from an old electrician. Try to avoid the connectors with brass insides as the are prone to cracking when in the elements and making a loos connection that will lead to heat and melting. Try to use the connectors where the screws don't directly come in contact with the wire, it will have a metal plate that will be pushed down onto the wire, they are usually black connectors. And when using them outside, use a bigger connector so that both wires can fit on one side and wrap it up in electrical tape all around for a good seal. Always leave the connectors pointing up so no water makes it in next to the wires. It will save you a lot of effort in the future with loos connections and corrosion on your connectors.

When wiring on a boat or anytime in my book use Ox-Gard Made by Gardner Bender, Guards against oxidation,The perfect safeguard for aluminum-to-aluminum, aluminum-to-copper wire connections and aluminum conduit joints. Improves conductivity; penetrates aluminum oxide to maintain inter-strand and inter-conductor current paths Produces a cooler connection. Just something to help you down the river.

If oxgard is difficult to get I always use Zinc oxide in a tube from the local pharmacy. Also prevents reaction between steel fasteners into aluminum parts.

Hello, I think the wire size is to big for a led application, BTW good wiring route, when you finish all the electric remember to label each wire terminal for the future, make a wiring diagram and keep it and order all cables clean to the sight, nice job. Oh, you know what is good? always apply dielectric grease to the exposed terminals, ex.: the block terminal at the anchor light in mast. Sorry for my english.

These are always interesting post. His narrative and backround music really add to the presentation in his videos. I wonder if he realizes that there are standard color codes for wiring boats. Depending on the function of the item being wired into the boat system there is a specific color for the wire insulation. By having the wires color coded, it makes it easier to trouble shoot faults in the electrical system. Having worked on customer wired boats. it is very time consuming to try and figure out what wire does what when they are all the same color. It can come down to running new wires to repair a system or device because it will take less time.

i don't put on the lugs and terminals until all the cable is run and is laid out. every one has to be the perfect length and attached to bulkheads properly without crossing so that i can determine the exact location of the lug or terminal. i don't mind adjusting by trimming but once you cut it to short, it's cut to short.

Boiler/water heater. Please review the manufacturer's instructions on its installation direction. I worry you will have half a tank of air that you cannot purge because of the angle of the install. If the heater elements are not fully submerged they can cause several issues. The heater elements can overheat and the ceramic coating crack allowing direct contact with the water. The electrodes if not fully submerged can create steam in the air pocket. This can build enough pressure to blow your plastic hoses out of their fittings or burst the hoses. In a water heater steam explosion in the 1960s. The water heater flew over 3 blocks away .this is not an isolated incident.
