Hey man, just a heads up, you can use the A and D keys to move the lockpick around and then spacebar to test the tumbler. This way you wont keep hitting things, helps a LOT when you wanna keep the storage for later.

I started playing UL with the Compo pack after watching the first episode. Now I live the high life in the Wasteland, in the imitation Space Needle POI (found in the mega city and made perfectly safe by knocking out a few stairs). You should consider collecting containers like water coolers, beer barrels (especially the triple barrel variety), gas barrel pallets, water barrels, and coffee machines. Jars, bottles, and empty gas cans can be a bottleneck, so having containers you can empty fluids into can free up those items for other things. And the gas barrels are especially important if you only have 1 gas can. You can fill up your can, then empty it into the barrel so you can collect more gas.

@@ojot6297 If by GnS you mean Guns Nerds and Steel, you should just need to install the Compo pack by extracting it to your Mods folder. Then generate a new map using GNS's seed. If you aren't playing using the Undead Legacy mod, you might be missing some locations that were part of the UL mod.

​@@gameglitch3686 Yeah, it came to me when I only had 1 gas can at the refinery. I was SOL because I needed gas but the can only holds 20 units. But when I accidentally emptied my gas can into an empty gas barrel, the dusty light bulb clicked on. I took my gas back and grabbed the barrel. Then dropped it when I spotted a pallet of barrels and took that instead. When I got home I dumped off my gas and went back for more. Worked amazing. After that I started collecting other fluid containers and filling them as required.

skills actually give a part of the bonus per each level for example the heavy lifting says that each 20 levels give 20 carry capacity but in reality each level give 1 carry capacity and the same applies to the rest of the skills wich make the skill books really usefull

Still a tough choice whether to scrap for Data Research or read for 1 point. I would base it on if you are finding Data easily or not. I've been on some servers where I found Data in every bookshelf, every mailbox, but on others I had to loot 5 bookstores to gather 200 Data.

Research data can be a pain, that's why I am a disassembly table evangelist. I can make loads of research data in batches. Also, currently a monitor/keyboard/mouse/pc sells for 22 in my current playthrough. It provides: one lcd at 4 dukes 2 circuit boards at 33 dukes 2 scrap wire at 0 dukes 5 scrap plastic at 17 dukes 10 scrap at 4 dukes 2 research - priceless So I get a small amount of research and 58 dukes worth of materials for my 22 dukes worth of item. Personal cost is lugging it back to base and waiting for it to disassemble. The research adds up quickly and if you look, the components can be worth more money that the object itself.

I found crafting a mini bike repair kit in the mechanical table and then finding one to repair was the fastest way to get a decent vehicle. Also for more sap hit a tree with a knife for the final hit.

Good morning! Another wonderful episode, thank you for entertainment! I thought I might let you know of a speedier way to access recipe ingredients. While checking the recipe for the Workbench, you saw you needed a bench vice, so you put the term into the search bar to check the recipe for that item. However, you can just click the picture of the bench vice in the workbench recipe and it will take you directly to the recipe for it. All the recipe ingredients that have recipes themselves are linked. Handy!

Tam, I've noticed when you're near the edge of the POI with the quest enabled, that the 'STAY WITHIN' part of the quest dialog on the UI will turn Yellow when you're in the 'danger zone' of walking out of bounds. not that its the easiest to check in the middle of combat.

There isn't a backpack recipe you can research, you have to find it. There are a handful of recipes like that. You can upgrade the backpack mod at the maintenance station, same with armor pocket and clothing pocket mods. There are a lot of mods that can be upgraded. They'll have letter ratings if they can be upgraded.

Been enjoying the series, always loved undead legacy, i haven't been able to play anything else since i first played. Just a few tips that may help: the wall mounted radiators can be wrenched for an actual radiator to sell, The lockpick gives +25 as well so paired with a jailbreaker gets you 100, once you hit T3 POI's lookout for the 7fit POI because the bench press machines and weights give a nice supply of iron plating especially if you put points into salvage but its a challenging POI so keep that in mind.

Scrap rubber also sells for quite a bit, so breaking down tires often can pay dividends when trying to buy vehicles or other expensive things

Personal taste aside, Subquake's done an amazing job on the mod, though, and I'm looking forward to seeing you go the distance! Especially if you manage to get lucky and find a {redacted}, one of my favorite guns, since you're going SMG's! Edit: I was very wrong! The arrowhead recipe gives a batch of 10, not just 1. Decided to jump in and give it another go. The call of the some of the guns, and the upgrade system, was too tempting.

Lockpicks by themselves add +25 to your lockpicking skill when you use them. So a jail breaker and a lockpick will get you to 100

You can still pick locks with the arrow keys and the space bar. In UL almost every locked Container has bad loot, Subquake definitely needs to rework this, otherwise it isn't worth the time investing in lockpicking or blasting with Timed Charges imo.

Nice work Tem! Btw you can have the water/food bars always on hud. There is a option on the menu. Also, if you use 1 point in lockpicking +candy you can lockpick the safe guns or any 100 lockpicking chest.

Great series, never tried undead legacy and this convinced me to give it a go. I dare say I like it more than darkness falls, at least as far as the early game goes. I’m playing on your map and have found some interesting stuff but I’ll not spoil anything with one minor exception. I highly encourage you to visit the red house neighboring your base, assuming what I’m experiencing isn’t a bug it’s quite the experience. And don’t worry it’s not a sudden death trap sort of thing, still dangerous though just not in the way you’d expect.

Those pictures for quest previews were all done by hand by the UL mod author so the compo pack people would need to add them for it to work. The names are goofed up as well since the compo pack doesn't add localization.

Several CompoPack POIs seem to be wrongly classified, you can be given quests to POIs choke full of enemies you have no chance of dealing with.

Backpacks and pocket mods allow you to carry more. It doesn't give you more slots. 🙂 Okay, I am watching this in the morning with coffee. Just a word of caution, that iron knife may attack faster than your scrap machete, but it also has shorter range. And the inverse would be slower attacks but greater range for a sword compared to a machete. Also, you joke about getting so much 10mm ammo instead of the 9mm you could use immediately, but if you've been saving it up, you'll appreciate it once you've gotten a decent SMG. Especially if you end up putting a Trigger Group: Semi Mod on it and using it as a better pistol. Edit: Hey! You got an SMG! Look at that! 🤣

Love your videos. You look like you know what you are doing. But did you know, destroying the paper and the objects on the floor. Thats what is distracting the zombies. If you destroy the paper/objects on the floor, you can be more sucsseful in stealth because you are not disturbing the zombies and they cannot hear you when steathing around.

Later when you start doing a lot of mining it gets heavy to carry… a trick that used to work is you can start scraping a large stack of ore and while it’s scraping its weightless…huge stack of ore will have like a 15 min scrap timer… gives you 15 mins of weightlessness. You can then candle it then restart the scraping for another long time, rinse repeat

Just a note on the damaged armour, in case you didn't know, is that it becomes less effective once it's gets below 50% condition (and starts showing the icon as a result). So once you start seeing those damaged armour icons, you're going to be taking more damage per hit than if your armour was in good condition

I've been trying to play UL with the compo pack along side yours but I think I'm having trouble with using your world. I must've done something wrong? I'm not seeing new POIs when using your generated world. Although I can see the new trader (Brotherhood of Steel) but beyond that, no new stuff. What I did was downloaded compo pack using the link you provided, searched %appdata% > 7daystodie Folder > Add new folder 'Mods' > copy unzipped compopack complete > paste your map > start new game selecting your map. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Also, I'm now on my second playthrough and completely turned off horde night. Kinda confused on how blocks are upgraded ( plus getting used to all the workbenches and new mechanics) Seeing yours progress better in day 10 with a higher set difficulty and wandering horde plus horde night, amazes me. If only you can upload daily, I'm obsessed with this series! Kudos!

When i was trying to get it to work i had the same issues, try putting the compopack folder in your mods folder thats in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die this fixed the issue with the POIs and for the map you can but that in the generated worlds folder im pretty sure

Stamina drain seems to be a big issue. Would the steroids help with that in a pinch? I know that you get more plant fiber if you scrap a hay bale in your inventory than you get by hitting it. I wonder if the same is true for leather and furniture (don’t know the mod myself).

You seem to have a good height in the base that you have so why not build another floor, like a loft to house either some crafting tables or your storage? I'm not sure how the broadcasting works for the storage but hopefully it will broadcast the 10 blocks or so in height as well

Just leave your molds (and fire bricks) in the output slots. That way, they're always there when you need them. Same for the campfire. Use the output slots as a storage space.
