Can you do a video on Forlan's time in England and why it didn't quite work out for him? Or maybe Veron? Alternatively, a video on United's flops that have found success elsewhere would be good!
@davidlean1060

Both were loved by United fans, even though they didn't quiet work out in Manchester. Forlan, we all know what he went on to do. I also remember seeing Veron play for Estudiantes in a Copa Libertadores final in 2009 (it was being shown on British tv) and he was magnificent. You could see what he would have brought to United, if they didn't already have one of the great midfield generals in Roy Keane.

it is pretty insane that West Ham as a football club can get away with not buying the stadium and paying a pittance for it. A stadium which was largely paid for by the taxed public and is now being used by West Ham to make huge profits. It would be worse if it was a bigger and greedier club than West ham but it's still not exactly fair is it.

Totally unrelated but there's been a lot of research esp recently on footballers' mental health and abuse both online and irl. Last year's Euro finale and last season with Ronaldo and Alli piqued my interest in the subject. The BBC report from August made me wonder if you guys had ever done a video on that considering the variety of football topics you cover and I was surprised to find out you hadn't. It'd be interesting to see one on such a topic and things like the relationship between abuse, mental fortitude and player performance. How much of a factor is it to set the likes of Ronaldo and Messi apart from some of the greatest talents that have walked the earth. It seems a broad and significant enough topic and I'd love to see this channel's perspective

Missed quite a few case studies. Red Bull Group's decision to hand control to Rangnick who helped them build their efficient football empire in Austria, Germany and USA. Coutinho sale to Barcelona. The decision of the big 3 in Portugal (Benfica, Sporting and Porto) to keep strengthening their scouting network in South America and taking advantage of common language (Portuguese, Spanish) to recruit good young talent on cheap, and sell them on for large fees to sustain their clubs. Ajax followed a similar model for the Nordic countries and had / have a plethora of young talent from these countries on the cheap sold on for considerable profits. And lastly, City's smart accounting which helps them keep FFP fines away and laugh at everyone other club's expense (barring PSG)

There's a ton of vagueness to the rules and a lot more misunderstanding. I genuinely think the call in the United game to disallow Rashford's goal (Everton fan for the record) and Gabriel not giving a pen are correct. Antonio might have handled it but it looked like his hand was on his body anyway so that's up in the air, but Rashford, even if it was accidental, controlled the ball with his hand to score. For Arsenal, the situation was so high speed and at such close range there wasn't time to react, so I think the provision of giving leeway for close range shots into the arm was applied correctly

Defo a Liverpool fan crying again. You’ve literally had VAR on your side since it came in. It’s the first game you’ve actually had decisions go against you an you’re crying your eyes out. Not too long ago you had ricky lambert as your main striker. Be humble and appreciate what you’ve got.
@isboredandonline

@@MrPancake777 Rules say you should take proximity and speed into account. I think not giving that is totally correct. The issue isn't that not being given, it's that they're inconsistent and have given those on other days. I don't think any football fan should really want those ever given though... Two wrongs don't make a right.

Slight inaccuracy here on West Ham. Not sure how them offering to buy the stadium can only be a 'claim' when information was literally out in the public domain at the time. They were named as preferred bidders to buy it outright in February 2011, the deal only collapsed in October 2011 due to legal wranglings from the likes of Spurs and Leyton Orient, after which the new bidding process was converted to become rental only.

Interesting. All great decisions were done by English teams, or in the only exception, related with an English player. The truth is the great business decision made by Florentino Pérez was to sell the old facilities in the middle of Madrid (using his political connections). The team was near bankruptcy, and with that sell not only the debt was payed, but was enough money to fund the signing of the Galácticos. Without that move there wouldn't had been Galácticos, or player image rights shared by the club...
