When you perform in pairs, why you both don't sync well. You both are looking at different places. Maybe using the filming technology of 1930s.

I knew a couple of these idioms already, but I was just completely captivated by the "put your money where your mouth is" one. I had never heard of it before, and it sounds like a tongue twister more than anything lol. I was just constantly repeating it out loud to myself, haha. I liked the video quite a lot.

Hi Oli and Savannah. This is Julian. Your lesson has many helpful ideas to improve the communication skills. In general, I enjoy learning English through this channel. OK. In this lesson I heard Savannah asking for finding mistakes in the sentences highlighted, but I couldn't find nothing wrong. I thought she was talking about to find grammar mistakes, but no. She was talking about to compare the writing sentences with information provided in the dialog. I know, I need to improve my understanding. Cheers from Mexico.

Dear Oxford English online I wanna ask a question hope you will try to solve it I know past perfect is used to show event happened before in at least two or more than two situations. And in story its used to show things or thing happened before my past simple anchor point means first past simple anchor point then use it for showing which happened first

I think idioms are related to a culture. Western people, in particular using English, tend to speak to others politely. So they are not trying to do harm each other with words. That causes them to avoid direct expression, especially being in bad, unexpected situations. That's one of the reasons others make it difficult to assimilate with English. Moreover, there is a pie in the sky to Asians like me who have a big cultural difference and already grown-up.

Plsplsplspls Make a video on complete use of past perfect I know it used to show one event happened before your story or before past event or events . Its used to show one event happened first before at least two or more then events. But my real concern is "is it used to show one past event for eg.. 1.I had gone there 2. She had bought car one year ago 3. I had gone there day before yesterday Without any past simple after or before these sentences .do they exist without past simple (which is used to show this event or events happened after ,after past perfect ) Lemme know that pls . Last hope
