When I want to multiply the (0.05/1)+1 I don't know where in the calculator you click the x 3 to get 1.157625. If you could reply I would appreciate . Thanks for the Videos

Your calculator should have a x^y button. Once you have 1.05 on the calculator, push the x^y button.

The rate can be given as a percentage or as a decimal. 5% = 0.05 indeed.

I noticed that you used the word 'Principal' on your Simple interest video and in this vid you used the word 'Principle'. I searched it online and it says these two words are different. Principal stands for the investment and the word 'Principle' stands for a rule, guideline , law or fact. Credits to the grammarly blog for the explanation.www.grammarly.com/blog/principle-principal/ Am I correct or are these terms just the same in finance? Thank you for your vids for you have helped me a lot. I am studying in advance by watching your vids.

Can I compound more than 1 time a year ?
@MichelvanBiezen7 жыл бұрын
Typically, compounding is done daily.

hi,why you dont compound 12 monthes intrest to get 1 year intrest?
@MichelvanBiezen6 жыл бұрын
It depends on the number of conversions per year. In this example we only compounded it once per year (1 conversion per year). This was done just as an example.
@vukirikou236 жыл бұрын
If I do (5/12)% per month, I will get approximately 8$ more than 5% per year. :))

I didn’t know there are 52 weeks in a year so when he said compound weekly i thought he meant one week which is 7 days.
@MichelvanBiezen2 жыл бұрын
365 / 7 = 52.14 (therefore there are 52 weeks in a year)

Michel van Biezen how you calculated 1.05^3. I know that's easy what if the power is somewhat like 48 or something . how can we calculate as scientific calculators are not allowed in our exams
@8dbeats4143 жыл бұрын
What is M ?? Can please someone explain me in short??🙏
@MichelvanBiezen3 жыл бұрын
m is what we call "the number of conversions per year", which means the number of times per year we calculate interest and add the interest to the principle. For monthly payments m = 12, for daily interest calculations, m = 365
@8dbeats4143 жыл бұрын
@@MichelvanBiezen thankyou sir 🙏...I was really confused...
@eyalschnider6 жыл бұрын
1 year intrest is 12 simple intrest?
@MichelvanBiezen6 жыл бұрын
Simple interest means that you don't compound it. It can be for any period and it is only calculated on the principal.
@eyalschnider6 жыл бұрын
So if you compound 12 times 1% intrest you get 12% intrest for year?
