Great video. My biggest issue is the amount of KZbin short subscribers my channel amassed during the roll out of KZbin shorts, I feel now that any longer format videos I upload, don't get seen by any of them, so maybe if they new then I'd initially get more views when a video gets published by myself, which might help the video get seen by more, or maybe my content isn't appealing to many.

As usual you do a great job with these videos, not only is it educational but its somehow really easy to consume this one in particular considering the simplicity of it, there isn't music, not to many fancy effects to the video, it's just two guys giving some criticism and its oddly entertaining. Love your reminder about creating better titles and thumbnails that are compelling and uncluttered. Regarding text on thumbnails, we have experimented with both and our few top viewed videos have no text on them at all, just a cool compelling image. Otherwise, if you use them, that was a great tip about keeping your titles to 50 characters or under. Thank you!

I feel like most people's issue is that they just haven't put in the time yet. Like it's so obvious why these people don't get views. They are just not spending enough time learning how to make a really good thumbnail and how to make a really good video. If instead of asking for help, they just spent a lot of time studying KZbin and putting what they learn in practice, they would definitely see results. But people are lazy. If you are for real about KZbin, learn more about psychology, photography, story telling, click through rate and viewer retention. Also, practice more. Best way to start is by watching more videos from: Film Booth, Nick Nimmin, Justin Brown, Think Media, Roberto Blake, Channel Makers and also any video where Mr. Beast is talking about KZbin

Additional things I noticed on the Metro channel is the angle of the photograph. The good example, the photographer got down low, so that you felt like you were immersed in the photograph, or taken at an angle that could've been taken in real life. The reviewed channel tended to shoot from above. The other bit I noticed was the lighting. in the reviewed channel the lighting is harsh and at an angle where it tends to throw shadows onto what you are looking at. The good example lights up the things that the audience is interested in. I would suggest getting a soft box for your light (could be as simple as a white bed sheet) and then angling the light from the front.

Definitely one of the top channels for this kind of content, I think what is really making a difference, is that we see you care about helping, giving good, honest tips, and what's really cherry on a cake - you always show how to use tips, while you say to use those tips. Proves instantly how effective they are, and how you are learning/using them yourself, as we should too. Video about importance of thumbnails? At end I get your next video, with powerful thumbnail that begs to be clicked - shows exactly what to aim for, to your viewers ;) Thanks for doing your best man, while also being entertaining. I'm sure each of those videos take a lot of your energy, but as usually, if you do things in a best way, people notice and appreciate it :) Keep up the great work, and even if you take any breaks, we will always click your video when you are back ;)

I think you should have said more about using episode numbers in the title. I think it really depends on the type of content. For example, as a gaming KZbinr, I will have a series of episodes that are better categorized by episode number after the main title. Simply because many people want to watch the journey from the beginning. I don't think episode numbers should be the main focal point, but they should be in the title or thumbnail image so that viewers can keep track of where they are up to, and also for knowing where to start their viewing journey. Also on the flip side, Some viewers might not be interested in Minecraft on day 1 but prefer to see the later stages of the series. I really think episode numbering is heavily reliant on the type of content, and audience.

Do you honestly think this will solve everything? YT viewing is such a random thing. They think they've got it all figured out but they only make views on people watching them trying to get more views for themselves. I bet they won't be as popular doing a cooking channel. I wouldn't be a bit more sceptical to their own "expertise".

@@OlgasBritishFells I think we can take some insight from their advice. Will it all work idk but will it help some maybe. Even if I don’t go in and change all of my titles I can change a few and experiment. YT is ever changing so that’s what’s great about experimenting between your videos.
