Every year one of the world's most dangerous races is held on Mexico's Baja California Peninsula. The Baja 1000 is a 24-hour off-road race that stretches 1,000 miles through the Mexican desert. Since its debut in 1967, the race has claimed dozens of lives. The competitors range from professional drivers to everyday amateurs, and the risks are massive.
