Bought 5000 shares of D-Wave at 68 Cents and 5000 shares of RGTI at ~1.10 a share. And then I kept setting a stop loss. I put a stop loss at 5.60...and it bottomed out at...EXACTLY 5.60. I got back in at 6.50 and since it's been so reliably up and down 20%, I've been been trading it back and forth. Same with RGTI(but I lost that even earlier). Point is...a stop loss isn't always great...which is why I don't have one for my investments. Only my speculative plays(and I have to admit, I also bought 5000 shares of TTI and LAC which...did not work out).

@@SorryCanadian The stop loss wouldn't have saved me. It went just flying past it in after hours trading/pre-market. No, I'd last sold D-Wave at 10.20 and RGTI at I don't remember 20.80 maybe, and then neither dropped low enough to buy them. But even with stop losses, you never know. Those stop losses sent it down 20% lower than I think it would have gone 10 years ago just due to all the AI trading bots. Anyway, bought QBTS at 4.20 I think and RGTI at like 9.30. So not at the bottom, but...that almost never happens. I have been lucky finding the tops and bottoms with these two...which makes sense because I'm more willing to pull the trigger as it's just kinda fun, trying to see if I can. I saw TSM at 224(I'm pretty sure it hit an intraday high of 224 and change and I KNEW I should have sold, waited as it's another predictable stock. Up 10-12%, loses 8-10%! But I didn't. Too gutless!

Stop loss is double edged. Sometimes once it kicks in you wish you'd bought more instead. Huang did some real damage last week that won't likely be fixed soon. I guess if you're thinking long term you could pick up a little and forget about it. But it could just keep dropping for years after that comment from a man that all the tech investors listen to. He's not Musk but he may as well be this time.

I love that you added Honeywell, I'm an HVAC technician so I have sort of some "inside information" 😂 the company I just left does a lot of HVAC and home security installs and Honeywell along with carrier $carr brand are leading in the industry currently. They both are a solid AI play and Honeywell is a double with the quantum. I'm buying both I would like to see a split in the near future for Honeywell but I will dca into my position I feel very confident in that company they have great and simple products that even most senior citizens can control and in fact senior citizens recommend Honeywell brand over all

Was a ionq bull had a position at 7 bucks sold initial investment at 20 then rode it to 40 and sold 😂. I thought rgti was good had only 800 shares when it came down below a buck! I was already loaded up on qbts with 6k shares at a buck so made great money this year with quantum plays but I'm now only holding Dwave $QBTS w/5k shares. Good luck with rgti. I wouldn't have given up since they all have a short grace period where they all hit 30 to 50 dollars a share before falling off. Thus you buy at their lowest and just sell once you hit around 30. Thus imagine if you put in 5k into a stock at 2 to 9 dollars a share and then sell before it hits 35 a share. You made an easy profit. Example: I waited till NKLA hit 1.10 a share. I poured a ton of money into the stock and even the little growth it had still made me money. If it ever hits 30 a share I just made a couple hundred thousand. if it ever hits 60. I made a few million.

Rigetti quantum chips are now used by Amazon, Microsoft and Nvidia. Moreover its research is backed by one and. Only one hitec labs in the UK. None of the quantum giants have those backups. The Rigetti overhead costs are less and the product is high quality. The delivery of quantum novera chips to giants like Amazon. Microsoft and Nvidia is without any delay on time. The target as of December 2024 is well 0:24 met. Inverters can consider Rigetti as the next coca-cola is what Warren Buffett built its whole empire.

I, for one understand the quantum computing technology...I like the way you outlined the 3 domains, i.e. tiers. I've been buying Quantum Co's for ~$1. I didn't expect the 10X appreciation in 9 mo's. I sold some (not all) and reentered admitting I sold too soon. Difficult to resist when you're staring into 10X appreciation....My prediction, we're going sideways for a while on all of the Quantum, until next breakout leg up, driven by some news....BTW, Rigetti got his PHD in the Quantum computing and had built that stuff for IBM, before starting his own co. in Oakland. NVDA has heavily invested in RGTI....Do you understand now?

I had $500+ to spare so I purchased 54 sh of RGTI @$9.5. RGTI hit a high of $19.35 before settling down at $17.08. Great return for just less than 3 days. Wish I had like $5,000. Quantum computing is still a gamble. Not sure if it’s worth dropping more than $10K to invest (>30 days or longer) Perhaps maybe day trader- hit target and sell. These quantum stocks will be like EV stocks like LCID NIO RIVN a couple years ago. Penny stocks those rose to $50-$80 before dropping back to $2-$6. All due to HYPE

A very smart investor once told me there are 2 times that are the best time to invest: 1) 20 years ago 2) now. Since you can’t turn back time it’s important to do your research and understand the company you are investing in. Then dollar cost average in. You cannot wait for a pull back. That will ONLY happen after you invest! Lol You just won’t know when. But if you put some money in and hold some money back you are ready to take advantage of any scenario. If the stock runs up before it pulls back. You’re in. Then if it pulls back it might not be so painful. And you’ll be in a position to buy more. And if it quickly pulls back you can buy more thus lowering your average cost per share. The goal is to continually and systematically invest on a regular basis. This way you’ll buy highs, lows and in the middle. But in 20 years you’ll have invested in one of the two best times. Only this time you’ll be in at the better one. And most likely you’ll be a wealthy person too!

The thing about Quantum Computers solving the problem in 5 minutes versus super computers taking 10 septillion years is a bit misleading. The problem is known to be incredibly difficult for supercomputers to solve because of the way it's structured. Super computers still beat quantum computers in most other questions, however quantum computers is still in it's "primitive" phase so maybe in a few years quantum computers will solve most problems faster than super computers but they're not there yet
