i just started Buspar. I have been on it almost 3 weeks I'm on 15mg twice daily...and honestly it helps. I really feel a difference I'm also on Zoloft 50 mg. but of course every one is different I was reading online a good amount of people didn't like it because of "brain zaps" and made them feel too tired or just zombie like...for me I haven't experienced any brain zaps I do feel more relaxed and a little more tired but it isn't horrible. it depends on the person my anxiety is extremely high. I suffer with social anxiety, phobia, general anxiety I have had this since I was a toddler. i never took Buspar before and I really love it. So thumbs up!!

Do you feel tired from it? And if so did the tiredness eventually go away? It works great for my anxiety but I am so damn tired all day
@matzpimp3 жыл бұрын
I don't recall my appetite changing at all. yes I do remember being very tired when I 1st started taking them but I went from taking one pill in the morning and 2 pills at night and that's been working good. Also if you just started taking them your probably going to have funny vivid dreams. I enjoyed them because they were like 90s cartoon Disney movies.

I only took Buspar for 4 days and it made my anxiety and depression worse. It's been almost 2 weeks since I last took a dose and the 7 days after that I was hospitalized 3x for suicidal ideation. WORST DRUG. Zoloft included. They both suck.

Buspar took away my libido, made me drowsy all the time, and getting off of it is pure hell. I feel weak, have constant brain zaps, and bouts of derealization that triggers panic attacks. People, don't trust psychotropic drugs that are made in a lab, their are more options that are natural and not foreign to the human anatomy, especially if you sufffer from anxiety.

Philipos Brooks I am generally not the one to take up any psychotropics for such things as anxiety, and I certainly do not think that any "disease" state is being addressed by the litany of psychoactive drugs on the market. It is a matter of personal choice, and for me, a short-term leg up, while I try to reorganize my life after several emotional setbacks that brought back my anxiety. I would also hasten to add, that there are non-pharamcological approaches to taking control of crippling anxiety, such as CBT and NLT, to name a couple of psychological interventions. In as much as these class of anxiolytics do not fix triggers of one's anxiety-which should compel one to be proactive-I think that as an adjunct, short-term medicating can do well to mitigate the stubborn physical symptoms of anxiety, like body tremors, racing heart, and sleeplessness. Good luck to you.

Old Man hendo Hey dude I feel great. I tapered by 5 mgs every 2-4 weeks and yes the symptoms go away. What helps is lavela lavender oil you can ingest. Studies show it works as well as a mild benzo and it all natural and non addicting or habit forming.

No one is exactly alike, there are many different options for medications if you do not like the side effects. No one should ever advise anyone else to get off of their medication and you should work with your doctor to try different options until you find one that is right for you. I know it seems generated from a pamphlet to say 'never to advise others to discontinue their meds' but from observation and research I can tell you that people with mental illness that have gotten off of their medications without consulting their HCP can be increased risks to themselves or those they love, you never know what will happen as everyone is different and they may make a decision and act upon it that be fatal for them or others.

fuck this drug, it made me feel worse. Took for a week and a half and everyday I was nauseous, of course I wont have anxiety anymore when i was always nauseous which is the worse feeling. So I stopped and it took a WEEK!!! for the nausea to even go away. Very bad side effects.
