Such an informative video, thank you. I was just prescribed it for GAD. Plan on taking it at 6am, and 3 pm. I suffer also from chronic insomnia, my fear is that it will cause me more sleep issues? Pharmacist says its not a issue but still a worried a bit. Thank you God Bless you

I have a diagnosis of GAD and Bipolar 1. Buspirone is actually an antidepressant and was totally ineffective in my case. As we're other antidepressants. Finally after many years I reached a point I could taper off anxiety meds altogether, and have been managing through coping strategies. All I can say is that if a medication does not work for you, or you have side effects, please tell your Doctor, so they can offer an alternative. Good health to you.

Very interesting.. I’ve been searching for a long time for information regarding buspirone’s mechanism of action.. can I ask you what sources you used for all of this? I’d be interested to read more but it’s challenging to find credible info
