One of my nicknames in secondary school in the early 2000s in East London was Spliff. Mainly because my name is Iftikhar but people would call me "Ifti" as a shortened way to say my name. Then came nicknames like "Swifti", "Sniffti" & "Spliffti", then just Spliff as a shortened version of "Spliffti". And the thing is, I never smoked weed. My mates did, but I didn't. So Spliff stuck, as a kind of ironic name, like "Little John" in Robin Hood lol
