People used to give me so much crap for loving this song and this band. The lyrics are pretty profound if you listen to what the message is. "Hold on to the ones who really care/In the end they'll be the only ones there/And when you get old and start losing your hair/Can you tell me who will still care?" hits me hard at 50 years old.

Yet I bet what they listened to back then they can’t even remember. In fact, what they did listen to probably no longer exists, or have had all the creativity sucked out of them due to being stuck in the soulless battle that modern pop is. Meanwhile, us Fansons are rocking out to great songs and great harmonies from great talent all the years later. Cheers

Hanson is so underrated. I don't think a lot of people realize all the crap they had to endure after the success of Mmmbop. They ended up leaving their label and going independent even though they had offers from other big music labels. Even when they were young they said they wanted to make music and perform for the rest of their lives and it didn't matter how popular they were, they just truly love music and they celebrated 31 years together as a band this year. And all 3 of them are married with kids. Isaac has 3 kids, Taylor has 7 kids, and Zac has 5 kids. If you watch their music video for the song I Was Born you see all their kids that they had at the time excluding Taylor's oldest kid who decided not to be in the music video.
@nickydean3182 Жыл бұрын
Well said. You see it in early interviews as kids, all they ever cared about was to write, record, and perform their own music. Nothing but passion for their craft. In with adversity they found a way to stay connected with their core fans and have had ongoing success for all these years. Proud to be a fan!

57 y.o. male and I can truthfully say that Hanson is a criminally underrated band. I saw their talent in 97 and they've just continued to grow and make amazing music. The 2 times I've seen them were 2 of the best shows I've seen.....and I've seen a lot of big name bands. In one way it's too bad they went independent, since their music isn't heard on the radio exposing them to larger audiences...that's a shame. But at the same time, I'm glad they escaped the clutches of the record companies. They're vultures. And the band has had no problem continuing their success or fame.
