DISCLAIMER: For privacy reasons, the building's location will not be disclosed. If anyone knows where this is, please DO NOT share it out in the comments or it will be removed immediately. I would highly advise everyone to AVOID COMING INTO THIS BUILDING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE JUST TO FILM THIS ELEVATOR, because this woman I got busted by is very NASTY and she is crazy like a Karen and she’ll harass you in less than 10 mins just to film this thing.
For the elevator: This is a Schindler MT from 1997 and it has an Epic Motor too. But the problem with this elevator is that the buttons were so sticky and this made me think that the Lower Level was locked, but then I pushed it harder and LL is open, which I didn't mean to take a ride constantly going up and down. Those buttons can use a little adjustments there. Decent elevator for a 300A with MT.
Here's the story of how I got Busted: So after I was done filming, I went to use the bathroom next door and after that, I was leaving the building, but as I was leaving, this angry woman stopped me from leaving and started to question me about what I was doing and why was I riding the elevator. I told her what I was doing and explained about it in an honorable way, but unfortunately, the lady was angry about my interest and told me that this place is private property, then she started to force me to delete the elevator video I just made, and I politely told her no, my video is part of my property and I have the right to keep it, and she then told me that she would call the cops on me if I didn't take down the video and said that I have no business here, and then I said ok ok, and that’s why I’m trying to leave, then she started to take things too far. As I was walking to my car, she followed me to the car and got the license plate to tell about it to the cops and I feel like this situation is starting to scare me a little bit and I was afraid of something she did was very ILLEGAL, so then I put in this trick to de-escalate this situation from continuing on, I pretended I deleted the video and then showed her it and simply apologized and then walked away, this lady was still angry about it so I had to simply leave right away before anything worse happens. I honestly feel like, I didn't do very well on handling the situation, but at least I managed to escape from it by pretending that I deleted the video (although the lady doesn't know that) but please note, my phone gave me a 30-day recovery in my deleted backlog. After I simply left the property, I recovered the video and kept the location private once I upload this.
My thoughts about this situation: Out of the many years of being an elevator enthusiast, this bust experience was one of the WORST situations I've ever dealt with. This woman was being nasty about elevator photography and I do NOT appreciate the way she treated me as a photographer in private property. I wish she would just ask me to leave the building and I would've left already instead of her controlling my personal property, but it was the opposite, her treatment was very RUDE and has wasted my time to where I have to go. I understand that she wants the privacy of the building and I respect that the building could have rules of no videotaping, but that doesn’t mean that she can harass me like that and be that unprofessional, and I don't see any sign of it somewhere. And much worse, her getting my car's license plate is a TERRIBLE mistake, getting personal info from me is very ILLEGAL and she could get fired and arrested for that. Well, at least this is a lesson to not film in a building that is super strict about photography and I probably should film somewhere that is more public like a mall, and after all what just happened, I’ll never film at this place ever again. I've seen similarities with other filmers going through this kind of situation before, and honestly, this stuff is so ridiculous with the way people treat us nowadays! I hate how so many people rudely treat us like criminals and seriously for Photography?! This small stuff has nothing to do with crime or any terrorist attack whatsoever. And honestly, if she actually called the cops, I wouldn’t care because I feel like I didn’t do anything wrong at all and the cops would have nothing to do about this. And this woman doesn't even own the property either, I found out that it's owned by someone else other than her, can't say it publicly, but she acted like she owns the property.
Remember, Photography is NOT a Crime! However, in Private Property, Owners do have the right to stop you from taking pictures and ask you to leave. They do NOT need you to take out your camera or delete or take down your videos. And Like I said, DO NOT COME INTO THIS BUILDING EVER TO FILM HERE!
