Its a good idea to keep it TV-PG so when they throw in an f bomb it means something. If they go 14 or MA it puts pressure on the company to out-do their last profanity laced/overly violent show, which could dilute the moment.

I disagree. The amount of times I've seen promos between two men that apparently hate each other, and no cuss word is used, it breaks my immersion and makes it look goofy. A simple "go f yourself" is more impactful than 2/3s of the shit they spew out every week

Side note: Smackdown on Friday the 3rd was orphaned in a lot of places. Broadcast contracts expired on the 1st, but the Netflix deal for new content doesn't start until this week. So WWE put it up on KZbin for Canadians & others who did not have any access.

I think the beautiful part about them moving to Netflix is that they could have 2 versions of the show available :one with censorship on and one with it off. The one with censorship could have bleeps and a dedicated camera that looks to the audience or turns black and white when blood or something inappropriate is happening. Even though its live, they'll have more options available to them due to the nature of the platform. My question is how will clips show up? Will there be a new channel or will clips get removed all together?

What I really hope is first, that they stay consistent. With the mixture of censoring of chants and the piped fake crowd noises, it’s inconsistent. The only way to make it consistent and stay consistent is to get rid of one of them. Like Bubba said, a well-placed cuss is good, so talent can swear according to the context of the storyline as well as the atmosphere. Holy s**t chants can work without being censored. It has always worked. But between the censoring and the piped fake crowd noises, I’d get rid of the piped fake crowd noise, so then every wrestler can work smarter and harder to get the audience to care about them. In American promotions, getting cheered/jeered means the crowd already cares about their presence as opposed to performing in front of silent crowds. In particular, silence happens on the main roster because, forget about independent promotions or major promotions outside the US, not everyone watches NXT, which makes them unfamiliar with the call-ups etc, heck, I bet new fans don’t know Finn Balor was a huge star in NXT. So when the Unholy Union, Blair Davenport, or Kayden Carter and Katana Chance perform, they seem to get little to no reaction. But now Lyra Valkyria is getting a better reception, not just a one time pop from her match with Becky Lynch, she has done more to get the crowd to notice her. Everyone who has little to no crowd reaction needs to do more to get fans to notice them, and those who are already over, they need to do everything to stay over. When that happens, piped fake crowd noises are no longer needed. Second, as far as chants using the F-bomb etc, they can censor it without using the piped fake crowd noises. Tbh those piped fake crowd noises are starting to get annoying because it all becomes too obvious.

Netflix might be available globally. Raw on Netflix is definitely not. Appearently there won't be any WWE programming on Netflix for German viewers for all of 2025 for example.

@@thelexanator7092 As far as I know, there are several other countries. Also eventually there will be more and Germany will join in at some point aswell (maybe 2026). I just wanted to point out that in some big markets you will not be able to watch Raw on Netflix in January.
