This episode was built more as a celebration of this new chapter in WWEs story than as a way to continue current story arcs. I think there’ll be a return to form, so to speak, next week.

Don't get me wrong, there have been some epic story lines the past couple of years (including The Bloodline ☝🏻) and I'm grateful for the that. I agree that they need to dial it back from the focus on the shareholders, and instead make it all about the love of wrestling entertainment and make it feel all natural.

Like you said yourself "there's so much talent" those stories cannot be told in one day of WrestleMania. There's 52 weeks in a year each week has 1 Raw 1 Smackdown and 1 NXT that's 156 shows all of them building stories towards WrestleMania and different ppv. With all due respect I think you're slightly out of touch with your take on WWE.

Some points there I disagree with but overall you're right. Absolute trash move to present the show to new audiences. It wanked their corporates off, it didn't give enough spotlights to its talent, showed way too many guests for no reason (yeah, no wonder it's your "largest gate" with the amount of seats taken by guests) and above all, it didn't leave us with a cliffhanger or strong reason to tune in next week. I'm an AEW watcher but I truly wanted WWE to put on a good show like they've been doing for the last year or so. This just wasn't it. Ironically, AEW's debut on HBO meant nothing and their show was completely normal and to think that would be the best of both debuts... 😅 As for all the ad breaks... It's an American thing. We, the rest of the world kept seeing stuff, including backstage segments

I haven't watched WWE's weekly shows since Summer Slam 2023. I thought they were really onto something in early 2023 but then some things happened at WrestleMania that made me lose faith in the company yet again, and the shows just got worse and worse until I finally gave up in the summer. I had only just started watching again in late 2022, after giving up on the TV shows in 2018 and then giving up entirely in 2021. I only watch the PLEs now, and they've had some great shows this past year, but they've also had a bunch of house show level events that have done nothing for me. It's unfortunate, but I think the WWE roster is really stale and as much as people praise the product, I just don't see it. I think it's way down from where it was 2 years ago, yet the hype around WWE is the best it's been in a long time. I want the product to be good as well, I don't want to be a WWE disliker, but there's nothing about the product that's pulling me in. For all of the flaws they may have, AEW is the only wrestling product I watch every week. Just Dynamite, even Collision is pretty crap because they don't care enough to make it important. The storytelling can be very inconsistent in some cases, and they do devastating moves as transitional moves, but the characters are more compelling and the wrestling is more entertaining. Their PPV's rarely miss, they're always top tier.

I agree and disagree with this video. This raw was more of a celebration for starting this new era. If anything I think this show did a great job balancing the speeches and giving us PPV quality type matches. All those matches could have waited for the next big PPV but to put it on RAW was really generous of H. Give it time, H might be testing the waters of RAW on Netflix. I wouldn’t be surprised if he pushed the bar little by little. The PG era changed the WWE for better or worse and it can’t be changed over night. H has been doing a great job gradually bringing back “harder” stuff. Better advertisement on the ring than on the wrestler’s gear tbh. Lastly don’t hold your breath on Cena. Dude is forever in the image of a Superman type character. For him to turn heel his last year would be stupid and a bad image move.

LOL You talk about "back in the day" WWE...? LMAO Back in MY day, it was WWF. And it just got worse and more stupid as the years progressed (and probably because I got older)... But I think my breaking point was when I went to see it in person and Jake the Snake was knocking people off their feet in the ring with his crutch - but the people were falling before he was even turned towards them. It just broke the 4th wall of believability.

Kinda interesting hearing from a non fan. But from fans who watch every week a lot of us thought this was the best show in a long long time

I’m with you, loved it as a kid, attitude era. Every 3-5 years I pop in and watch an episode and it’s terrible.

It was very bizarre. The rock going from the final boss to corporate rock.
