Thanks, I actually learnt it due to your kind and patient sharing Buster! It's my first Jerry song.

I sat down at the CAAS convention one year with Buster on my left and Tommy Emanuel right...in Busters lounge at about 4pm....luckily I didnt have my guitar....Buster played one of his powerful original songs that me made me think of a wild turkey running 90 miles an hour at a heard of cows....Tommy played Classical gas after that....I was between them like and walked away..went outside and caught my breath....booth Buster and Tommy are MO FO...never will forget that music lesson

I learned about Godin guitars through him. They make a lot of these hybrid classical guitars. I love the warm sound of nylon strings with typically bright country styles. Plus you get the electric scale length and high fret access. They're so well made you can shave off a bit of the bridge saddle or shim the neck pocket and get lower action than most electric guitars. Spread the word about Buster. He deserves GOAT status along with the rest of them

Another great Godin acoustic electric nylon string guitar. This guy is also an excellent finger style player. You can't duplicate this kind of performance with a straight pick. Some players train themselves to hold the straight pick and use the middle, ring, and little finger finger style. But traditionally it's a thumb pick and 4 fingers. Notice how he uses his fingernails to pick with. I do the same thing. I go to a nail salon 2 times a month and get fills. The nails are coated with acryllic.

It's called "Stump Water". It was relased on the "Me and Jerry" Album by Chet Atkins.

thats ridiculous - I ordered the DVD/tab and it was VERY good. There were some mistakes but if you have the chops to play the tunes, then you'll have no problem figuring out the odd mistake. These lessons are excellent and I highly recommend them.

In that Bottom Line gig with Chet from 1991 Jerry mentioned that people ask him to play various tunes. He said he had forgotten them- and he was always happy when Chet agreed to record a tune- that way he said he could forget it and never have to touch it again! I think that RCA should do an album of Chet's versions of Jerry's tunes and do another of Jerry playing his own instrumentals- like this one Jiffy Jam from "Half & Half" the "pickin" half which he recorded during his "bearded period".

Hi Buster, it seems to me that you KNOW what you're doin' man. This is great stuff, my mate Goodo can really kick some ass on Jerry Reed, but I think he'd love to see you play ( if he has'nt already ), anyway I'm very pleased to discover you, best wishes Greg'

"Jerry never played his songs the same way twice". I like the statement. I hate routine and playing everything without feeling. That's why when you play it you need to feel it :) Jerry's Jiffy Jam rulez !

Does anyone know what kind of processing/amp Buster was using to get this rich sound. I know it is in the hands (and the guitar which is a Multiac SA) Thanks.
@bilo0616 жыл бұрын
Dude, in part A, you have to play the B bass-note under the melody otherwise the bass-line loses its impact. The exact part I'm talking about is when the bass-line goes - E G# A A# then B. At this point it implies an E/B chord and sounds very nice progressing into the C#. You play it in the intro but drop it under the melody. Jerry probably wouldn't care as will most people, I'm just 'B-ing picky'.

The tab for Blue Finger is in a little book that came inside a Marcel Dadi record album I bought years ago. All the songs on the album were tabbed out.I'm sure I have it somewhere. I think you could find it on one of the Tab sites.

I bought The DVD's. it comes with the TABS. the DVD is awesome, But the TAB IS NOT ACCURATE, you have to dig in yourself for the details ! They just try to lure you to buy. so if you want to buy and expect to learn from it , DO NOT BUY. unless you buy the DVD for collections.
