Hey everyone!
A few weeks ago, Buster Posey retired, which came as a shock to the baseball community. Personally, I believe he will eventually find his name on a plaque in Cooperstown. However, today we are talking about something different. I believe he will win the MLB Comeback Player of the Year award, which would be his 2nd time winning the award. This means he'd be the only player in MLB history to accomplish this feat. This is why I believe Buster Posey is baseball's comeback kid. I hope you enjoy the video!

I’ll never forget all Buster Posey has done for the Giants. His 2012 season is the very definition of “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Much like Tim Lincecum before him, his career maybe short but it left a huge impact. To win as many awards in his first few years is insane. I’ll miss him. Now we only have both Brandons, Crawford and Belt, left from the Even Year Giants left. I’ll be heartbroken when Crawford retires.

I have always been a big fan of Buster, mainly for his unmatched humility. No matter how much success followed him, he always stayed both confident in his ability but understated and humble at the same time. Even as a young player receiving national attention, he would never let it get to his head, often deflecting or crediting his success to his teammates and his family. It was often missed how generous with their time and money Buster and his wife were to local Bay Area philanthropic opportunities because to them, it was just a way to give back and NEVER a photo opportunity. If Buster announced next season would be his last, most stadiums the Giants traveled to would have a ring kissing sendoff to Buster. I am sad as a Giants fan that we did not get that chance in SF to say thank you and goodbye as fans, but honestly, this is the most fitting way for Buster to end his career. Instead of basking in the spotlight all next season, he let the historic franchise season and career season of 2021 speak for itself and for that to be the mark he leaves on MLB. We will miss you, Buster; thank you for all you have done in the Bay Area. I am excited to see what is next for you!

My voice might sound a little different and that's because I recorded this while I was sick. Also, I'm going to try to upload 1 video every week for the rest of the year, so hopefully I can stick to that. I hope you enjoy the video! Edit: Looks like my claim of “Buster Posey would be the first to win 2 MLB comeback player of the years” is wrong as Francisco Liriano did it. But that doesn’t take away from Posey’s story.

As a Giants fan since the 80's since I was old enough to love baseball I must say Buster has a very fond place in my heart. I think with no Posey we wouldnt have won those WS early last decade. His knowledge of which pitch and where to call to each batter was immense. You rarely ever see any pitcher throughout his entire career shake off a pitch.

Not only was Posy one of the greatest Giants of all time, the comeback kid, and a true inspiration on the field, but his efforts in the community off the field shouldn’t go overlooked. From being a huge part of the Junior Giants program to his continued involvement with charity work, Buster Posey is a true baseball hero in every sense of the word.

Honestly, Buster Posey is the greatest SF giant of all time. More than Barry and even Willie Mays. In 2010 I was 20, obvi I had no idea what was to come, 3 titles in 5 years. 3 magical World Series runs and not one series were we favored. Hours upon hours of KZbin highlights, not may fanbases have that.

Wish people would stop blaming Posey for the Home plate rule. The “Posey Rule” wasn’t enacted till two years later after another player was injured with WS implications. Posey’s collision just shed more light on a conversation that was already being had, it didn’t spark it.

Had he not gone to FSU he may have never been a catcher... I think he played about every position, including Pitcher... He had the same degree of humility at FSU .. even Coach Martin stated he was one of the most coachable players he ever had.. as an Alumni it was nice to see that he had one of the most successful MLB careers.. #8 Posey @ FSU was retired last week next to JD Drew...

Some of the baseball dinosaurs aren't going to like that Buster didn't stick around long enough to accumulate the counting stats, which may make it hard for him to get into the hall. In my eyes, Posey and Molina are the best of their generation, and hands down first ballot hall of famers. Catchers are extremely under represented in the hall, and I'd hate to see Buster kept out just due to a short career.
