I totally understand your last point, but what if this decision of getting on the PLAB journey turn out wrong for me? It’s already a really long journey,I won’t have the chance to correct it ,it’ll be too late?

You videos have been an inspiration for me, thank you from the bottom of my heart!! I would have one question though... Is it possible to shorten the length of the Training due to multiple years of previous experience in the field (both UK and EU) or not really? 🌟I wish you the very best Monisha for your personal life and your career as well ! 🌟

Hello Dr. Mishra I’m a 3rd year med student from Bangalore, India. Could you pls tell me if you did a clinical audit when you were an undergrad yourself? How can I do a clinical audit in an Indian med school and if it’s absolutely necessary to do a clinical audit before applying for fy2 jobs in the uk. Thanks!

Hi mam, completed neet pg with a very good rank and thinking of taking MS orthopaedics. Will i get a permanent registrar job in NHS after completing MS orthopaedics from india and MCH in UK but without MRCS degree. Thanks in advance 🙏...
@faithlesshound56212 жыл бұрын
No. Registrar jobs are supposed to be training positions, so they are not permanent. More senior jobs (specialist training rather than core surgical training) normally require the MRCS diploma. It is possible to work long-term as an SAS doctor, a term that encompasses a number of different non-training grades, which in principle require only experience and not higher qualifications. In practice many holders do have more qualifications, and more of them tend to be IMGs, female, part-time ... you get the picture. Most British higher trainees do not do research for MCh (or ChM, MS, whatever): instead they would be working towards FRCS in a specialty following the MRCS in surgery in general. In the UK, higher degrees are the icing on the cake, but membership/fellowship diplomas are the cake itself. So, as at present to come to the UK you need either the PLAB or a membership exam, if you decide to come after MS, it would make more sense to study for the MRCS at that point. That's because the MRCS may be useful in private hospitals in India too.

Thankyou for this video. It was really helpful. Will you be able to tell me that can we get non-training psychiatry jobs or fy2 jobs in psychiatry? Specially if we dont have any experience of working in psychiatry back home
