Please don’t ever feel unsure about being honest about your lifestyle decisions. Until people are in your shoes they should be less judgemental. I know it’s hard reading mean comments but you need to do what’s best for you and River. Breastfeeding is one of those super controversial things no matter what you do, you do it for a long time and people get upset, you do it not long enough and they get upset. I have a friend who couldn’t even do it during the first month and she got so much negative feedback it was dreadful.

Personally I like the two channels, your main one has more of a professional beauty influencer vibe (which you of course are), but I love that on your vlog channel it’s more casual and we get to see you and the whole family. I would definitely enjoy a weekly(whatever you can manage) vlog and baby updates. I’m not even close to having kids but I find them so interesting and relaxing. All that said, you do whatever makes your life the easiest and least stressful and I’ll be supporting you whichever way you choose.

I was watching this feeling so sorry for you when you said about the abuse you'll get for saying you'd stopped breastfeeding. I'm a first time mum to an 11 month old and I felt so much pressure to breastfeed, which I did for 4 months but it just wasn't working with us. Please don't ever feel like you have to say sorry for not breastfeeding. You did 4 months which is amazing and I remember the guilt I felt when I stopped but me and baby are much happier for stopping! I love your videos and am a long time subscriber! Good luck to you! xx

Lucy Gidney can I ask how you switched over to formula? I’m looking at doing the same (my baby is 3 and a half months now) and don’t know whether to just switch, or gradually change one feed at a time or do it even slower and start with doing half of one feed on formula then top her up on me

thegirlinspired I won't lie it was so hard to change to formula, my daughter refused formula and bottles so we tried several different formulas and bottles and in the end my health visitor told me to leave the house and leave my daughter with her dad and for him to stick it out until she eventually took the formula. It took my daughter 6 hours of non stop crying and screaming but eventually she accepted the formula because there was nothing else. Sounds cruel but it was recommended by my health visitor. If you can work it in feed by feed then I would try that first. I tried to mix formula with expressed breast milk which obviously didn't work for my daughter but it might work for your little one. Good luck with it! X

thegirlinspired I hope I can be of some help. I introduced bottles in the form of expressed breastmilk at around 3 months. Thankfully he took to the Avent (natural) bottles. I gave him one bottle of expressed breastmilk a day and breastfed him the rest of the time. By about 5 months he was on bottles completely and then at 10 months I introduced one bottle of formula a day and he didn't notice the difference. Every baby is different. You may have to try a few things before you find what works for you. All the best xx

Fleur, if you are bottle-feeding, don't let the "breastfeeding posse" get to you. ;) My gran had her children in the 1940s & 50s and they were all 10 of them bottle fed. I was bottle fed, and so were all my cousins. There is *nothing* wrong with formula. So don't feel bad. Also, it is *your* channel. You decide what goes on it. You tend to "grow up" even on YT, and so content can change. Why not? I think as long as you still do the beauty videos, people will be happy.

I am not turning this into a debate, but there is less judgement towards breastfeeding as there is towards bottle feeding. Women at delivery are pushed to breastfeed, not "pushed" to bottle feed; therein lies all the difference. Breastfeeding seems the "preferred" method, and people who don't want to are judged for it, or who can't are judged for it. Whereas breastfeeding is often regarded as "the best" and more natural and what ALL women should do. You don't get that push towards a bottle. And I bet you guys who are protesting so fervently are a liiitle pro breastfeeding, no? ;)

Be kind to yourself!! You're doing an amazing job with a tiny human and working on top- remember a lot of mammies have up to a year off! You do you. I have been that mammy exhausted and crying over spilt breastmilk- I choose formula feeding for me and my baby and NEVER looked back. I love the baby content and that's coming from someone who never plans to have kids! It's kind of nice to see actually, even though I'm not the maternal type, seeing how you are as a mother, how you dress her etc seems very similar to how I think I would be if I ever did have kids. Fleur, my baby is the same age as River and we’ve just switched to majority bottle feeding and I was riddled with guilt and worry about it - but he’s so happy and thriving so that’s all that matters. Love following your motherhood journey

So great to see you vlogging Fleur! I know it’s easier said than done but try not to worry about judgement about your choices. As a nursing mom, I’d love to hear your tips for weaning. I’m not planning on weaning right away but when I go back to work I probably will. I acknowledge the freedom that moms of bottle fed babies have and have zero judgement of those who do! If I had to go back to work as early as you did, I would’ve done the same. I’ll be fully off work for a year.

It is a beautiful transformation into a mother and you sound healthy and happy so don't know why anyone's worried. Nothing wrong with fasting either. I grew up with it so it's not strange at all to me and it's great for your body. It's cleansing and healing. So is breastfeeding so it seems like a natural transition to me. And you seem stronger and more yourself than ever! Keep it up you are a great mom!
