As a retired teacher and the mom of three grown sons, have breakfast , supplies, and clothing ready EVERY night before bed. Take phones up at bedtime and put them in a charging station in your room. Check and double check every morning to make sure they have everything they need. Also, have them make their beds before leaving. They will already have successfully completed a task they can take pride in before they are at school.
@MomNTraining2 жыл бұрын
I do most of this but I’ve never worried about their beds being made. I am 100% going to start making that a part of our morning now. I love that. It will also be a more relaxing room for them when they get home!

As a teacher I want to give you a huge thank you! You are one of those super moms that gets everything we ask and some more and believe me we really appreciate everything you do and the work you put in to those bags. Believe me so now and then we feel very guilty because it is a lot but this way we make sure we can give your kids the best education thank you so much!!!!

I genuinely like when you share your meal plans and recipes (including mini video clips). As an RN it's easier for me to lay everything out ahead too. But I'm terrible at trying new things. You sharing recipes has helped me branch out on trying new things here-there. 😊

As a former teacher, I always liked when kids had their names on all items and had glue sticks and things out of their packages. It made it faster to put things away in the classroom. As a mom I always bought extra school supplies, and gave them as Christmas presents because they are on sale now. They start to run out of things at school around the first of the year.

I appreciate your respect for teachers. I taught Latin for a decade before I homeschooled my kids and stayed home for them. Teaching is a difficult job, if you’re doing it right. I wish all parents cared about what teachers have to do. We did the haul recently and bought the literature list for each kid. We live in a small town, so we had to travel an hour to a worthwhile store for supplies.😄 I am renovating our kitchen and preparing for my youngest daughter’s birthday party. When the dust clears, I am going to hunt down fridge organizing bins. I like your idea putting basics for meals together in a bin.

Naans!! Love love love i make a warm cheesy spinach and artichoke dip, I use the naan Flatbread with olive oil garlic pepper and shredded parm on my pizza stone in oven to serve with it. And then the little mini naan circles I make the kids mini pizzas with they're a staple in my house! Never tried wheat Flatbreads.. I need to start attempting healthier options for my family, luckily wr don't struggle with weight but with winter coming we won't be taking walks after dinner anymore

In your BTS video, I'd love a revisit of your planning system and how you do it with sports, activities, etc. As our kids get older we're definitely feeling the effects of time commitments and love any inspiration from other working parents! My oldest is going into 1st grade, so not a lot in way of traditions yet - but we do schedule a manicure the night before school and always do haircuts.

For me the thing that makes me feel the most prepared and grounded is to fill out my calendar for the first couple of months as well as organize and re-stock their homework station. One tradition I have is buying special “fall” (Halloween) Jammie’s that I give my kids the last weekend in august when we decorate our home for fall. My boys are in pre-school and 2nd grade. They love it.

Great video once again. I love back to school prep. As a mom of 4 boys I am a huge fan of Mabel's Labels for labeling all their clothes, supplies, shoes & bags 🎒 even water bottles & lunch box. I too love a good bento box. My favorite are the easylunchboxes. I love adding lunch notes 📝 & I keep lunch a surprise. They never know what they are getting. Obviously I choose according to their likes but that's easy cause they eat almost everything 😅 Thanks for the inspiration! I love your longer videos

Great job of organizing. You are right, as the children get older they need less school supplies. Today I helped my sister move some boxes and things to her new apartment. She and her husband sold their big home. It is sad to see the house go but it is time for a change. It is hard to believe it is almost back to school time. This summer moved by so fast!

I enjoy all your video's. I think I've been watching for 2 years. So, I'm an old Mom. My daughter is almost 25 yrs. I was not brave enough for more than 1 child. But I always watched for sales and at the office supply stores and bought extra of what she needed. When she was in Jr High, she could get whatever she needed. I just kept everything in a cabinet, and she could just help herself. When she was younger, I would help her get whatever she needed. If I didn't have what she would need we would go and get it. That's my only tip. Your awesome keep making your video's, please.

Hi Lauren, I just saw your meal prep & fridge organization and it's looks so nice and great, I'd love to keep my fridge like that. A bit of advice…I used to stock up on school supplies when the great sales were on before school started, that way when we ran out mid year, we could just go to the supply cabinet and grab what we needed instead of going out and paying full price mid year.
