You can do it. Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise! Live your dream. I flew as a pax with my best friend growing up. He started flying at 16. Ended up flying the 777 all over the world, never wanting for anything. You must have a passion for flying, then it’s not just a job. But it really gets in your blood and becomes a lifestyle, and it’s worth the effort. He retired from AA a few years ago. He is now flying private/charter for an oil billionaire in Dallas. All the best to you!

Nice Henry. The technology you have is amazing. I was charter flying at 19 back in 1977 in East Africa. With 800 hours I was flying a Partenavia P68B. Despite being a twin it only did 140K and of course no GPS in those days!

Confident and competent. Carry on like that and you'll go on to greater things if you so wish. I like the way you examined your turn and landing, aware of things you might do different next time, the sign of a good pilot. Keep flying, keep learning and enjoy your trips. 👍

Professional, calm and focused when you have to. To thinking out loud helps to reinforce learning. I appreciate the transparency with the red and white light on approach: nothing is perfect every time and it's great to own imperfection to progress. Smooth ride...

Hi Henry, super nice videos and so good to see you flying a high performance complex airplane so young. I’ll bet your videos will be closely watched by recruiters, so keep doing what you are doing, flying professionally every flight. Good use of checklists, out loud just like you are doing. Just positive reinforcement here. You will have a very successful flying career for what I can see.

Great video, Henry! It's nice to see a KZbinr flying a Bonanza around my part of the country and not just places out west. And you know who I'm talking about ;-) Keep up the good work! I look forward to more of your flight vlogs. Couple of things: I did not know that they changed the name of Mobile Downtown Airport to Mobile (ahem) **International.** I guess that's in anticipation of the Big Switch of the airlines over from the city's 'other' airport, Mobile Regional, which is closer to Mississippi than to Mobile, and was a mistake building it way out there in the first place. Which they now admit. Funny story: Here in Pensacola, forever and ever, our airport was called Pensacola Regional. But then we got a mayor who thought our image was too "small town" and wanted to turn us into Ft. Lauderdale. So he changed the name to Pensacola International Airport. Sounds big-time, right? Trouble is, we don't have any international flights in or out of here. But we do have Customs for overseas arrivals so I guess that qualifies us as an "international" airport. Yeah. (At least they don't call it "International" on the radio.) This same mayor didn't like the fact that we only had a small bar/restaurant in the terminal, so he promised us we'd get a name-brand fast-food place. We knew we weren't big enough to rate a McDonalds (we're not a 24-hour airport), but we figured we'd get a second-tier joint like maybe Arby's or a Krystal. What did he get us? Chick-fil-A. A friggin' Chick-fil-A! On one of the busiest travel days of the week (Sunday), Chick-fil-A is closed. So, tourists leaving our town on Sundays have limited options if they want to grab lunch before their flight out. Genius! Ah, that's small-town thinking for you! Another thing this (departed) mayor did was plant a crap-ton of palm trees at the airport. Palm trees are not native to this part of Florida and struggle here. But when tourists come to Florida, even to sub-tropical Pensacola, by God, they want to see palm trees! And so now, they do. Our airport looks like Miami International. But as soon as you leave the airport in an Uber, all you see are Live Oaks and pine trees, which **do** grow here in abundance. Small-town fun and games, eh?

I just finished up flight traning over at NAS Pensacola in the T-1A and those beautiful VMC days can definitely get a little hectic along the coast there but you handled it like a pro. Good stuff Henry - sub'd. I began flying in my early twenties. I then got my A&P thinking maybe I would go to Alaska. I ended up staying mostly in New England and eventually went to NetJets. I flew a Citation for five years and then left aviation in 2001 for a law enforcement career. I am now retired from that and back in aviation. I work as a pilot and A&P for a small airline in New England, and I'm having a good time. I'm sure your viewers would enjoy hearing your goals in aviation. I know I would. I think this is a good time to be a young pilot. Stay professional, and I wish you all the best!

@henrymullin1836
@henrymullin1836 9 ай бұрын
Correct I did both same day my 17th bday. If you are proficient and understand the PPL stuff definitely start on the instrument. And if you can fly enough to get all the requirements for both checkrides definitely do it. There’s no cons and only pros to it. Having your instrument rating has been a huge blessing and has made me a much safe pilot.

i’ve done a lot of flying with mainly vfr related stuff in the past year and honestly feel proficient with alll the airspace’s requirements airmets segmets all the time weather stuff n most my ppl stuff. I’m going on my 3rd cross country this weekend only paper charts no garmin js good old ndbs and adfs so i’m kinda grooving into doing more advanced instrument stuff. we’re also working on approach plates and stuff which is honestly quite easy because i fly on the sim a lot so i think it wont be as hard for me to learn everything.
