Busy Hour of Trains in Detroit! Delray Junction!

On a perfect summer day we are at Delray Junction in Detroit Michigan. Today we caught 7 trains in just over an hour, which was very solid. Since this was filmed Delray closed and the signals have come down.

I was born and raised in Delray during the mid 1950's until 1980. I had seen a number of steam locomotives pass through these train tracks. There are two more sets of track's to the left of the tower. Those set's of tracks go north and south. South to the downriver suburbs of River Rouge, Lincoln Park. Allen Park, Wyandotte, Southgate. Trenton, and towards Toledo Ohio. Those tracks that go along side the tower go east and west. Love the double diamonds of the track layout. Delray Tower was decommissioned and us scheduled to be demolished. Somebody contact Mr. Bill Ford Jr. and have him incorporate the historical interior of Delray Tower into the restoration of the Michigan Central Train Station in Corktown. Don't let the Delray Tower interior end up in a landfill. I really miss those caboose's.

122 was Changed Back on July 1st, 2019 120 was Extended to Sterling Heights Yard 122 ex 124 is Chattanooga to Decatur Manifest

That NS would be 120 when it was temporarily extended to Sterling Heights.
