Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action. Under two hours of trainspotting at Doncaster railway station on the East Coast Mainline and it was busy indeed. The trip was totally worth it, mixture of both intercity and commuter units, four freights and four Azuma’s on test. Plus, CrossCountry once again mixed around the destinations on their services due to the area around Derby going through some engineering works which is why their HST pulled in where it normally works the Edinburgh to Plymouth via Leeds route.
Trains include: LNER HST’s, 225 sets and 800113 ‘Azuma’, CrossCountry Voyagers & HST, Transpennine Express 185’s, Northern Pacers, 150, 158, 170 & 322’s, East Midlands 153, Grand Central 180’s, DB Cargo 66’s & 90’s (On hire to LNER), GBRF 66741, Freightliner 66587, DRS 66427 and Hitachi 800’s & 801’s

The trains of Hitachi, Ltd. in Japan run a lot in England. It is a great honor for the Japanese to have a Japanese train adopted in Britain, the birthplace of the train.

I think as well as having Japanese high speed trains we should have Japanese management too because they'd do a far better job than what we are doing!

Depends what the British rail companies ordered! The interior of the 800 has clearly been designed to British specifications so you can hardly blame Hitachi for it!

The Azuma should've been in pure red similar to the GWR Class 800 series trains which namely in Pure dark green

Train liveries these days are so bland. Very dull and boring grey/white liveries. Why can't East Coast Mainline stations all have pre recorded announcements.
