RE: Leaking windows - I have a pilot house boat with sliding windows as well. When I bought it, the windows leaked just like yours. Damage to the wood paneling inside, not good. I found that the lower tracks that the glass slides on were blocking the drain holes (on the outside bottom of the frames), and the drains were plugged with pine needles. A little time with a portable vacuum cleaner and I drilled few holes (through the drain holes into the plastic track) and no more leaks. Now the boat is totally dry even in heavy rain. Hope this helps, greetings from Vermont, I love your videos! -dbinvermont

It's a darn shame that a premium label like Parker produces such a shoddy product at a premium price! You've dealt with many issues and apparently Parker couldn't care less. I was considering a Parker 2310 pilot house but no longer. Water leaking past the side (or any) windows onto your electrical panel is criminal! A similarly priced Grady White would be delivered in perfect condition, and that's where I'll take my business. I currently own a Bull's Bay 2000 which was inexpensive, but had no such problems and has been completely reliable for over 9 years. Thank you for your diligence and for your straightforward reporting, Captain!

That is a great tip before you buy the boat water down your boat that you want to buy and check to see that it's watertight. That's a great idea never thought of that cuz you think manufacturers would test that on their boats but I guess the manufacturer your boat just wanted to save a couple dollars and got the cheapest windows. Actually that's a good idea or used boats too get a water hose out and water the boat down really good check it

Needless to say, now that you know, would you buy another boat from the same manufacturer, based on their honoring warranty, craftsmanship, value, and cost? Hi Capt.... Some info on your leaking windows; They are likely 'Taylor-Made' windows. If so, there is a small Taylor-Made logo etched into the glass in the bottom, aft corner of the window. I had a different problem with our side windows, (ours don't leak fortunately) and so I contacted Taylor-Made. They were pathetic to deal with. After I gave them all the boat specs/information (brand, model, year, etc) they denied that the windows were theirs. I next sent them a picture/photo of their Taylor-made logo on the window. She STILL denied that they were their windows! In short, I fixed the windows myself (and posted a video on my KZbin about it) and decided that I would NEVER buy another Taylor-Made product. I would say they had 'bad service' but then that would imply they had ANY service at all ! ☺They don't.

@@Steve-Jody Yes, in a way she 'called' me a liar, but I'm sure she knew I was telling the truth. She was likely 'reading off a script' / A Taylor-Made Customer Service Reps list of responses on how to not accept any responsibility for the poor quality products they make. But in her case, she was also exceptionally rude and arrogant after I sent he the photos of their logo. I don't think she was expecting that.

@andrewfyakim5255 ай бұрын
@@Steve-Jody She knew from my first contact that our boat had their windows. I gave her the information. We have a 2014 Parker 2520 XLD, and she can quicky check their records to confirm that they, Taylor-Made, supplied those windows. The sad part about this is that I just wanted information; nothing else. The issue with my windows is the top, black rubber pieces on the outside of the window kept falling out of the corners. All I wanted to know was what they used during manufacturing, to hold the pieces in place. I ended up coming up with a 'fix' on my own. I would have gladly shared MY information with them on the cheap easy fix I came up with. I've learned from my participation on the ClassicParker blog that most ALL of that era boats have that same problem. I posted 2 videos of how I did it on my KZbin channel... In short, it requires a short piece of black rubber fuel line, cut properly, and jammed in the channel in the right place.

It’s not that difficult. Click2Clear is required. Yellow flag means you are quarantining (no one can leave vessel except for the Master or Capt) till you have been cleared by customs. You first need to clear immigration then customs. In Bimini, there is a customs office at Big Game Marina and immigration is towards the south at the Police station. I was just there last week. You treat Bahamian authorities with respect and a big smile and it’s reciprocated. At least in my experience. Good luck. Also tip the marina dock hands $5, 10 or $20 goes a long way.
