Hvala još jednom i sve najbolje?

I have a dinghy that looks almost exactly like that one, but I bought it directly from the manufacturer. There are usually like 7-9 bull sharks that hang around there, mostly at Big Game.

in the Bahamas now, there were sailboats waiting for weeks to cross because of the hyper-conservative "no north component" rule. Such a simple-minded generalization. We waved at them all anchored off Miami as we left in December for one of the best crossings we've had. I think some are still waiting 🙂

Depth transducer is usually set to zero at bottom of starboard hull on Leopards. So if you see 1.3 meters for example, that's what you have under the keel. Cheers.

The UKC is depth under the keel. The depth on the chart is to the water line, and then you can add the tide. If you are reading 2.5m UKC then add your draft (1.5m?) = depth of water of 4.0m - the tide = chart datum.

Hay there from Texas, I have an answer to your Question. You asked in how to sail a catamaran 2, How is it safe to sail the cat SAFELY on only a head sail? The answer is by using a 3/8 inch dinema line as your boom uphill line and center your boom trailer and last add 2 preventer lines from the boom to the ends of the trailer rail.😊

when batteries are advanced enough to store 10x what they do now per KG of battery, and rechargeable on solar panels, few will use sails. sails will just be a backup.
@IgorStropnik11 ай бұрын
You will use sails to charge batteries via propeller as it’s faster than solar. And to stabilise the boat. But you are correct 👍 not many will actually sail in future. And no anchoring as your electric pods propellers will keep you in position like big boats do.

I have lived in Hawaii, California and Florida. People in Florida just dont experience high surf and seas like CA and Hawaii so their idea of rough seas or high seas might not conform to others. However, the day you went was pretty calm compared to how rough it "can" get in that area. I have seen far worse in that area than what you experienced.

Good video Igor. I am glad you took locals advice but most importantly used your experience to know that the passage will just be fine. Many NA sailors and boat people are way too conservative and scared to do any real sailing unless they sail under 100% ideal conditions. They like getting stuck in the weeds of their training constraints holding them back from actual experience and they love talking about how much they cant do it and how much you shouldn't either.

Great video, interesting review on the Leopard 50. I don't get the idea of a 3rd sun deck. The other two are already fabulous. It just adds extreme weight and makes the thing top heavy. A performance boat it isn't, after watching Sailing AWEN just vlog daily across the Atlantic on an Outremer 52, and getting 10 to 12 knots in 15 knots wind. I agree with you that the foot control on the electric winches are not great. They can be stepped on accidentally, and get lost in the sheets. Easy to wrap around a foot and create an accident. I look forward to your next videos.

Igor , do you know what luck is. Well you had it on this day. It wasn’t seamanship. Listen to local knowledge. I have made that trip several times and you simply got lucky. It did not have time to build. So stop telling people to go ahead and try it. It is far better to not risk it. You are setting up others to fail. Possibly lose their boat or worse. You are doing sailors a disservice.
@IgorStropnik Жыл бұрын
After days analysing weather forecasts I decided to sail with having option of return if local knowledge would come true. That’s what I call seamanship. Luck is when you don’t check forecast and you have no option of return.
