You could also talk about how you find auction lots because it is one of your business streams.

Hi Mel, I have only discovered your channel today and love it! I don't think there is anything wrong with adding unboxing videos here too. It makes your channel more interesting to me because of the variety of different things you talk about. :)

Thank you! And welcome!! Yes, I’m going to do a trial run soon with the jewellery unboxing. I think I’ll try both a separate standalone video and also incorporate it into a vlog and see how they perform. I really love variety too but I already confuse the KZbin algorithm as it is 😆

Do post the unboxing and jewellery sorting!

Even removing the algorithm aspect, having a “backup” channel which can be for the smaller niche of unboxing generally seems good business sense when creators have so little control over KZbin. Then if something happens to your main channel, you have another channel to post on while the problem with the main channel is sorted out. I personally subscribe to multiple channels by the same creator and am totally happy with that. It also means you might tap into a new type of fan, who comes to you from a different direction. ❤

I’ve recently split my channel into three channels. My main channel, a super niche channel and a shorts channel from my main channel.. It works so well. It’s a slow build up but the people who watch them, watch all the videos on them. Plus new people are finding me. All my content points to my website and my traffic has increased because of it. And therefore my sales too. I was reluctant to do it but now I wish I had done it ages ago. Also I’ve split my TikTok content into two accounts. People love watching unboxing and hauls! I’m sure jewellery collectors and buyers would find it and watch. And then know how to purchase from you. (I didn’t spot the issue in your video by the way, so probably most people didn’t)

I think start with the playlist on this channel to see if you want to continue with it. It'll bring in another segment of viewers and more revenue. We're always tempted to start new and we hear niche, niche, niche, BUT for the sake of sanity and barring boredom and people seeing a full human, we can blend our work (to an extent). Especially if it's starting something as a pilot. Think of it as an incubator.

Oh wow...I really enjoyed the dramatic, film-like opening! 😊 Good job getting your ideas written down & moving. I was going to say that products attached to the channel would be a good idea! You could also make a video about how you do that. As well as art, I think you definitely need a shirt that has "Big Ideas!" on it. 😂 I like the idea of the central channel then offering other things. Yes, you definitely have a teaching gift and a very gentle & thoughtful manner that is lovely to watch. Quite different to a lot of the hyped up KZbinrs. Unboxing videos would be fun, but it would also be interesting to hear about how you determine what something is worth & how to price things. Thanks for the interesting update! 👍

Making money online, is making money online. I remember having a conversation with someone about when I watching all the reseller videos, their comment was "they can't be doing very well if they are making videos about their job to boost their income" I thought that was such a silly comment, if I could record my job and post videos about it to boost my income then I would. The other thing about the teaching/course side of all this is, there are so many comments that I see from people asking, please help me, how do I create a selling book, how can I make money online? Well here you are, here is my course on how I do things...it just makes sense. Hope it all goes well!

It makes total sense, right? If people are asking me for something then why not make it/do it. I’m so thrilled to have people like you in my audience that don’t want me to keep myself small or stick to one thing - thank you 😊

Great video again! I think regarding the negativity around selling courses etc comes from those that are peddling courses claiming to be able to make tens of thousands on something like KDP and they make it sound like that's what they've done when in actuality they've never even listed a book (and their courses turn out to be rubbish, generic and things you could have got for free by searching on KZbin or Google), unfortunately the "scammers" out there make it difficult for those of you that are genuinely great teachers or coaches and really have the skill set and will to help people. I agree that there are plenty of people that are great at teaching and as long as your are able to communicate a proven process why do you actually need to have done it yourself, after all I'm assuming the saying "those that can do, those that can't teach" partly comes from this principle. I guess it's an added bonus to a lot of people if you have proof that something has worked for you and it's tried and tested but it's not 100% necessary as the proof will come from your students success! You can tell from your videos that you are good at communicating and have a passion for it 😊

It’s like the Wild West!! It’s an area that I will, like everything, be moving into gently and, I hope, appropriately for my skill set, qualifications and experience. I think as long as I am happy with my decisions and direction I can move forward. Thank you so much for the time that went into your very thoughtful comment 🙂
