Spending little to no time on something and still making money from it, is better than nothing. Even if it's like $5 a month, that's an extra $5 I can put towards savings or paying down my student loan/credit card debt. Thanks for the informative video!

People who consider less than 10,000/month a failure should just stop. I'm just starting POD. #1 - have fun doing it. #2 - any amount of sales that improve my life is appreciated.

I’m a big believer in saving as much money as you can, but also in living as much as you can, doing what makes you happy (with experiences, not buying items). Work towards buying a property, whether you rent it out now at a profit, or live in it yourself, but as long as you have secure shelter somewhere to fall back on, and are able to feed yourself, you will survive.

I’m most interested in medium term and interested but terrified about long term because I am only really thinking about this in my late 40’s which has come up biting at my heels far faster than I envisaged in my youth. I get frustrated that I didn’t do more sooner so your comment ‘you only know what you know when you know it’ is so helpful and actually really comforting - there’ll not be a better day to start in the future than today will there so there is that! I think there are many budgeting videos on KZbin which I do enjoy and which I do find useful (I remember when you did these a few years ago and I was an avid watcher) as many of us are probably in the paycheck to paycheck scenario any help and advice is much appreciated. I can’t remember the last time I could afford a holiday for instance, or even a takeaway, as there’s more month than money so finding a way to save for the medium term would be fantastic. - I think the conclusion is, I am interested in all of them! 😂

I really hope I can quell the terror because there is still so much you can do! We’ve made it a bit harder for ourselves by not starting earlier but if you approach it thinking “anything I do that can make my future even just a bit better is a good thing” then it’s less frustrating. Future you will be grateful!

I think all three, I'm 39 in less than 2 months so, I'm thinking about all 3 for myself especially with my current situation, through no fault of my own. I don't remember any talk about investments growing up either, if there was it might have occasionally been on TV. I found out after my grandad had died he had shares in something, not sure how much and it may have been split 10 ways and grandchildren getting a smaller percentage of whatever it was. I think with investments you have do your research so you know all your options and understand everything so you can make the right decision. I suppose if you don't do that, and just treat it like a horse and just pick the horse to bet on because you like the name not because you know it has a good chance of winning, then yes it could be seen as gambling. I did invest a few years ago in physical products, I did it because I knew my money was safe and it is. I did learn from it aswell, some missed opportunity I could've invested in, and what choices have exceeded my expectation and what didn't do as well as I thought it might.

51 and need to look at investing for retirement so interested in the whole process. More the medium and long term options but I really have no knowledge of the options available at all or how much/ little you can invest. Or even how to calculate how much to save now and what that will become... Oh dear 😢

Great video. I'm now 50 years old and I've only become really serious about my finances over the last 4 years. I've managed to put over 4 months of emergency funds into Premium Bonds, so far. I also have a decent portfolio of investments and a detailed plan to build more wealth over the medium to long term. it will be interesting to see how you have everything set up with your finances.

I think that being in your 40s is when everything finally crystallises. Before that you think you can out earn your spending and as you get older you start not wanting that same stuff and the same experiences and then you start thinking about getting old and what that's going to look like. I definitely got better with saving when I hit my 40s. I'm saving more than I ever have although I am still rebuilding the savings that I blew in my late thirties and early 40s.

There is definitely a “coming together” of all the ideas I’ve had about how I think I want to live my life. It doesn’t deviate much anymore and whilst I wish I’d known it earlier I also understand why I couldn’t have until now - if you see what I mean…!

I retired at 52 and honestly, I wish I’d done it sooner. The 9-to-5 grind steals your freedom for a paycheck that barely scratches the surface. My advice? If you’re in your late 30s or early 40s, start saving for FIRE now - Financial Independence, Retire Early. And if you’re in your 50s, invest smartly and break free from relying on your job. Market trends, like the Trump Effect, have made millions for many, including me. Stay focused, stay consistent, and remember: financial freedom is within reach if you make it a priority.

I have finally done it (after a few years) i am running my shop down and i am on Barista Fire in that I'm working 15 hours a week 🙈 its a radical lifestyle shift and i still don't really know how to adapt to it but its a start. I think i might start a KZbin channel about it eventually (i'm not quite a year younger than you)

What a lovely, honest video. I am rather new myself, I have a few books on, and am trying to work out how to make coloring/activity books, and puzzle books, without getting my KDP account closed down because I accidentally didn't modify an image enough. I find AI does sort of work, sometimes, but I need to learn software that changes the images. Thanks!

I would recommend setting higher goals, as it all begins with a thought in our mind. If you'll have a spare minute I'd recommend watching Bob Proctors lectures , they're related to this. Wish everyone abundance, happiness and may all your wishes come trough! 🫶
