ive not been running into much drago on live but i think its still unfavored into drago. idk if you watched the streamed match that henry played into rowan playing drago in top 8 but i think drago got a bit unlucky and drew really awkwardly. but i think against drago you just try and prize race them or stick something in the active and use scream tail to ko the powered up drago. zard is probably close but maybe slightly unfavored, i would try to ko the pidgeot so a late game iono ko zard could make them miss an attack and try to keep 2 prizers out of play as much as possible. if i end up getting games against those decks ill upload tho

@@sixpokemanstcg i did! henry also beat out another drago player in top 8 so i was pretty impressed. do you think artazon is a good substitute for headquarters if ancient box isn't being heavily played? i believe that was a tech card for ancient box or one prize decks

yea hes such a good player. i think so, in this format i think stadiums are going to be a lot more popular so passive stadiums like headquarters shouldnt be as good, especially with the decks that play 4 area zero. i was thinking artazon would be a better option right now. did my response to your other question not go thru about the play testing from both sides?

@@sixpokemanstcg i'm going to finally try out this list at locals this week. i don't really like how slow gardy feels in this current meta and this honestly looks like a fun way to play gardy. i thought you missed it! is there a website i can use to play both sides at once? i saw someone on tiktok do it once but i forgot the blooddy name

im guessing it was limitlesstcg.com but i havent figured out how to do it, i think its a beta they only let certain people use, idk tho. what you can do is play one deck on the limitless tabletop simulator and the other deck irl or in a different window. theres also tabletop simulator on steam but thats like 15 bucks and i think you have to setup everything manually and im not sure sure exactly how it works. i would do the limitless in multiple windows thing

i tried this deck for live gameplay, and i think it's not worth it. Henry chao studied the championship favorite pools for build up this deck, but overall it's not that good. Most of the times, if you have the opportunity to get the round 2 gardevoir, you probrably will not get all the energies on discart pile to play with it, or have the energized munkidori to take the enemies down.

yea the deck can feel clunky sometimes and i think most often the turn two attacker will be gardy ex or scream tail snipe a little guy or even confuse with munkidori. dusknoir is pretty scary for the deck tho

if you play it correctly with pracitce it is very good because i have won 3 tournaments with it since baltimore but intead of the baltimore list play the top 36th louisvelle gardevoir deck the moonlit hill stadium for the deck is by far better than the pokemon laugue headquaters because then driffloon can hit 330 for 7 energy in the discard pile but even tho it might be hard to pull off its still very good.

I am thinking that Secret Box could be replaced with the new Perfect Mixer ace spec to avoid that problem. It has worked for me to get energy in the discard faster, but you do sacrificing the speed at which you can build your bench up.

I’ve been using this list and the more I play it the more I see ways out of almost anything, dragapult and dusknoir are scary tho, dragapult is my absolute nemesis I even think it’s psychological at this point 😅

thanks so much. i can definitely do the miraidon one after the probability one im working on right now. the non gameplay guide type videos take quite a bit longer to make so i usually work on those in the background while i do gameplay videos on whatever decks im interested in at the time. i do have a miraidon one started but just have to play more with the new version of the deck. idk where to even start with the zoroark deck lol, im gonna try it out at some point tho. i should be doing a miraidon guide within the next couple weeks for sure

ive seen people do it on limitless but idk how they do it, might need to sign up for patreon or something, some people pull up the limitless simulator and play one side on that and the other side with real cards. theres pepper0nis workshop on steam that omnipoke used for some of his videos, i really dont know anything about that tho. its on steam under tabletop simulator > workshop > pepper0ni's workshop

I’ve only lost once to gardy as ancient box in over a month of irl and live play

i shouldve lost the game in the video if my opponent played perfectly, assuming that i still drew bad at the beginning. i dont think ive lost the matchup from either side. i could definitely be wrong, but i dont think the matchup is free for ancient by any means. limitless matchups have gardy unfavored 40-60 against ancient but there isnt a ton of data. i have found that the counter catcher iono snipe play usually leads to ancient missing a turn at some point or to put a 2 prize guy in play. maybe ive just not played against enough good ancient players

@@sixpokemanstcgyeah fair points , the idea is ancient box is the same one prize race as gardy but faster set up, so ancient box should win in theory. To disrupt gardy would need iono counter catcher stadium bump scream tail which is not much to ask for in gardy tbf. The only time I lost to gardy was I had 2 baby moons set up, no rods and no energy in deck so they cc ninja and scream tail sniped me

yea definitely, ancient always wins if it doesnt stumble for a turn or two and theres a lot of pressure on gardy to get the play off before ancient can thin the deck out too much. if ancient can hang onto the retrieval and load up multiple moons gardy cant really do anything at that point. i probably should have made the distinction that ancient is extremely favored on paper but in practice the matchup ends up a lot closer as long as the gardy player knows the plan and draws better than the ancient player

I think there are cases for going 2nd. Turbo decks that will try to KO from T1 sounds like a interesting idea for u to delay them and play with the TM Evo play, IMO

yea true, with the klefki i tend to go first more cause it can shut the turbo decks down. just with miriadon missing the klefki and having them hands for 2 puts gardy in a much worse spot than roaring moon or bolt taking one prize. but going second against them and assuring a setup seems pretty good too

the headquarters was pretty underwhelming but idk if theres a specific plan for it that i dont know about, if i play it this weekend i was thinking about cutting it for an artazon. i think the pal pad could be cuttable, just have to be more thoughtful about staying behind for counter catcher. i thought about switching one charm for luxurious cape and the stadium for an artazon or cutting secret box for heros cape and cutting a charm for another consistency card if i play it this weekend. idk yet tho i have to play it more, for some reason whenever i play secret box i dont draw it until the end of the game

@@debstap8363 he talked about it in an interview after he won. It makes it so ancient box needs 3 energies to attack. Also roaring moon ex and other basic decks need more energy. He said that he thought he would see a lot of ancient box
