Terry Taylor beating up and running off Butch Reed - it sounds Impossible on paper but these two professional wrestlers make it seem legit as hell. That is what a good professional wrestling match looks like.

IDK who the ring announcers were at that time, but this match was so good, it called itself. Really great selling by both wrestlers. RIP, Butch Reed.

The ring announcer was the legendary Texas and Mid-South commentator Boyd Pierce, who was one of the true greats of that era.

Back when no padding was used outside the ring and the wrestler would get thrown right over the lil barrier and would land right in front of the audience feet in the front row.

That's why Taylor came in so hot at the beginning of this match. Reed had piledrived (piledriven?) Taylor on the floor during the studio show, and Taylor was facing him despite this "injury." There was more to it. I'm not making this up: it involved a little girl in a wheelchair presenting her favorite wrestler, Terry Taylor, with flowers, and Butch Reed destroying the flowers. Classic territory-era stuff.

At 11:24 when Reed put his leg on the rope to stop the count. How come today's refs can't see from the exact same angle? That old Mid-South, UWF & NWA was great on point wrestling. ECW was just to violent but made for good entertainment but the WWE. That's just plain bullshit. What does WWE stand for anyway Wacky Wrestling Entertainment
