16:17 You’re getting thrown out because the seatruck isn’t horizontal so Robin can’t stand up inside it, so it defaults to having you drive it. You’re not actually supposed to get the Prawn Suit from the Mercury II, there’s actually another base that has 4 Prawn Suit fragments, the location makes sense when you remember they’re used for mining.

Don't worry about (almost) drowning in the Mercury II. Twice, I nearly lost a hardcore run because I got turned around or upside down in there and couldn't find my way back out or ran out of oxygen plants to use.

You probably know this by now, but the tree spire area has these giant jellyfish looking things with 4 legs (its called a vent garden). If you go into it's "crotch" there's a vent thingy that will let you inside of it where you can find spiral plants among other flora. At 34:18 you saw what is essentially a baby vent garden.

I found both Subnautica and Below Zero much easier when I built bases in each Biome. I had a Large hab in every biome with a Moonpool, Observatory, and Scanner room attached. It helped me know what's around me spending some time in each biome. Build Confidence. Pool resources easy. The Developers spent a lot of time building 2 amazing Regions of Planet 4546B. Really needs multiplayer though....

Tips for Butch: When youre in the lifepod go towards the wall behind you and go along it to the right side and go on until you can go up on the land and youll find a base with alot of good resources that you need. oh and for the love of god build the air bladder cause in this game its the most useful item in deep waters if youre running out of oxygen. also the big black fishies die from one good run into them with the seatruck. and the moon pool and the seatruck docking bay can be connected to the main base without additional pieces. you just have to remove every item thats in the way, including from the inside. and the place where you build your base is too small of a space youll have to build a bit deeper not right next to the lifepod

(No spoilers) Yeah at this point you just need to explore. You were lucky to find those synthetic fibres but you’ll need to find more spiral clippings in the future for other recipes. Places to explore: Looks around the delta island Directly south of the island West of your drop pod.

If you don't mind spoilers the spiral plants can be found in two places. In the purple vent areas there's a cave system below. One opening is next to the small thruster part you found last episode. You can find some plants there. If manage to get to the other side of the island, there will be some creatures that also have the plants. Just letting you know, you'll need them to make another synthetic fiber

There’s a trick you can use, if you’re under attack by a leviathan in the sea truck. If your sea truck is horizontal you can hop out of the driver seat, and then the leviathan won’t attack you.

Butch, I've been really enjoying this series! And I know you're further ahead than what we see, but if you see this, I'd heavily encourage you to read and pay more attention to the PDAs. Below Zero uses PDAs to progress the storyline more than subnautica, and you can actually miss a lot of stuff. Looking forward to the next episode!

lillypads theres a base below it in the floating rocks, behind margarites base theres an endgame cave sytem if you go in it a little bit you can get some kyanite early for upgrades, oh and theres also a dead volcano you can find theres no danger or enemys but alot of rubys etc

6:05 I dunno if someone told you yet, but you can modify the songs in your jukebox with any .mp3 you like. There's a folder dedicated for that in your install directory. I filled mine with a bunch of old songs and classical. It made the game more entertaining for me. 😂 Suddenly playing an upbeat song during a leviathan attack makes the whole experience hilarious.
