*_Here's a tip:_* If you pin the recipe for Plasteel Ingots, Sea monkeys should have a higher change to give you Lithium. If you have a pinned recipe, then sea monkeys tend to give you one of the resources required to fabricate that recipe. However, they have a limited pool of resources that they can give you. As it turns out, Lithium is on the list while Titanium Ingots are not. Hope this helps! *_Edit:_* They can also offer Creepvine Sample, Creepvine Seed Cluster, Titanium, Copper Ore, and Quartz. However, with a blueprint attached, they can offer Crystalline Sulfur, Diamond, Gold, Lead, Lithium, Magnetite, Nickel Ore, Ruby, Salt Deposit, Silver Ore, and even Table Coral Samples.

Your base will be on a whole new level if you have multistory rooms. If you have a room with glass above the water you can see the northern light at night and many more which is aesthetically pleasing. Extending your base outward is not the way to go.

I didn't realize that you never connected any rooms with ladders in the first game until I saw the struggle going on here. A second large room under the first would have been epic and allowed for the classic pyramid alien containments where two disconnected tanks on the lower level connect to one on the top.

I can't believe you found the secret entrance to the mine by accident lol. And YES you can take the sea truck down that vent hole. Just take off the modules, it's a tight squeeze but it fits.

​@@shawntraub7249There's also another, even more secreter entrance that connects to the deepest mining room, at the very end of the facility. I stumbled into it by accident in my prawn suit while clearing out tech fragments. There are even oxygen plants in it that lead you there!

with the LARGE room connecting under the 1st! It can be traversed between by building a ladder between the 2. Also building a swim tank underneath will connect to the 1 above it. you can then place a hatch door on the lower level of the tank and swim between floors if you like lol.

Two big rooms with the big tank on the bottom is terrific, you get a glass floor on the top level looking down over the tank. Definitely my favorite build aspect...that and having speakers all over every room so I can blast the jukebox.

For the stacked large rooms: you can build ladders between floors. Since you have your alien containment in there you could also do something fun and stack a second alien containment in the lower room, then use hatches in the aquarium to swim between floors. 5:48 The reason you can’t place the large room there is you need to remove the adjacent window in the existing large room so a passageway can be formed. Also FYI if you put a water filtration system in a room above water it’s less effective. The canon reason is if the room is below water it sucks in water and desalinates it to produce water and salt, but if it’s above water it has to condense water from the atmosphere. 7:22 The reason you couldn’t connect a ladder between those two multipurpose rooms is the rooms need to be nested on top of each other, yours were one above the other. Vertical connectors are for connecting corridors to each other vertically but don’t work with the rooms. 12:04 the reactor can’t go in because you haven’t finished building the water filtration machine. For whatever reason the building tool hates this.

Hi Butch, if you want to find a great amount of lithium then head over to the purple vents (near Mercury). If you use SUSAN the prawn suit in the day in this location and jump high, when looking down you will see shiny objects, those are lithium. So you found Koppa Mining Site. Base building tips, you can put another big room below your present one and connect them from inside with a ladder. The nuclear reactor is your best option for consistent power. The thermal plant needs really hot areas to work efficiently and your base is a bit far from any good candidates. I would recommend you go back to Maida's greenhouse iceberg and pick up some heat peppers for planting so you can make fruit salads, which is pretty decent food item that doesn't spoil. Best place for Lithium is in the purple vents area, you're just blind and terrified.

When making a multi level base the I-compartment, T-compartment, X-compartment, large room, the multi purpose room are places extremely tight above or below and attached with a ladder. Large room to lager room, multi purpose to multi purpose and compartment to compartments. The Vertical Connector connects to other Vertical Connector or to between I-compartment, T-compartment, X-compartment and a ladder is added. Hope it helps

You can connect 2 floors using a ladder. The reason it wouldn't connect next to it is the window. Also, if you have anything in the wall inside the room. It won't connect to that wall.

Buildings on land have no crush value and can be built with glass to your hearts content. I built my base on land with tubes, connectors and ladder used to connect the moon pool and seatruck bay underwater. You can build on iceburgs as well as land.

The reason you’re having trouble connecting the two large room side-by-side is because you have windows constructed on the other one! If you deconstruct those, then the two should just snap together. Also, you should be able to add some glass tubes and glass tube corners in order to connect your see truck dock to your base!

u NEED to place the rooms DIRECTLY on top of each other. they need to be stacked perfectly like a huge tube. u tried with a whole room space between them so that WONT work. if u stack them properly it will work with ladders. vertical connectors only work for basic compartments and then u can add ladders to them. u missed some special food plant at the island of the greenhouse. also, there is a new food in your blueprints that you can craft...the best food in the game. better than nutrient blocks. u MISSED an upgrade near the prawn suit wreck in that mining area at 39:30 btw u got TONS of lithium all around the purple vents area.
