It’s really brought me so much joy watching you explore the world with a sense of wonder. It’s made me appreciate just how special this game is after so many years. Also as a guide in newcomer chat it’s also made me realize how impactful a single “yes I can help” is for new players. Thank you for being you!

Love this series! As a 20 year WoW vet, I always tell new players to just go out in the world and have fun at your own pace. Don't fret about the newest content that is available, just go and do what you want and have fun doing it. Too many people think that it's a race to the top, but with games like these, it's best to stop and smell the roses whenever possible. Make your own goals and have your own adventures! That is the fun of MMORPGs! You can do all the high level content when you get there. Just go your own pace and enjoy your time. Also, watch some of the game cinematics as those are some of the best animated cutscenes in the industry. GLHF!

I think the fact that you couldn't fly before is what made your previous adventures so compelling. Can you imagine how anticlimactic it would have been if you just used high speed momentum based flight to rush to the tip of Northrend? You would have totally missed out on making a new friend, and braving the dangers of the ground and water!

Hey Butch. I don't usually comment. Or ever, really. And I know it's unlikely that you'll see this. On the off chance you do, I want to shoot some encouraging words off. Your journey in wow has been truly, unequivocally inspiring. I've never seen someone so absorbed in the world that I've taken for granted. Watching you discover these places that I've spent so much time in brings a smile to my face like nothing else. You've reignited my passion for so much of the world, the story and the characters. Your interactions with this game have been nothing short of a generational tale. I will found your channel through subnautica, and I was literally slack jawed when I saw you were playing WoW. Don't feel pressured to show us everything you do! Each expansion has it's own campaign, characters, collectibles and world to explore! Don't forget you can make other characters too! If you randomly get absorbed and play the entire campaign for the Mists of Pandaria, and hit level 80 off screen we will forgive you. Your level does not limit our enjoyment of exploring Azeroth with you, it just expands where you can go. Most of the game is played at max level :). Please, enjoy this world, take your time, do whatever you want, recorded or not. Finally, two quick tips I have for you as a semi-veteran of the world. 1: you can join/start communities/guilds to get engaged with people online and for us, as viewers, to get a chance to help you out if you're stuck off-recording! Up to you of course but keep in mind it's always and option. 2: If you're interested in learning more about the lore without trying to complete all 4000-some quests, (and I've heard others recommend this) a watch through of the in and out of game cutscenes will probably help you get a little bit of a grasp on the world/lore. Once again most importantly, no pressure! Enjoy your time here and don't get into anything you don't want to do! Thank you so much for approaching the dauting task of starting my favorite game in the whole wide world.

Subscribed. This is now the 3rd installment I’ve watched of your exploration of WoW. As someone who has played for nearly 20 years, it’s incredible to see the game through new eyes. There’s a lot that long time players have become conditioned to, like mounting and flying, zones that we spent years in, revisiting some of those zones later on, etc. However, seeing the game through your eyes is like a breath of fresh air. It’s very heartwarming to see the excitement, awe, and surprise you display. You even *read* the quests, which so many of us long time players no longer do. If you decide to stick with the game for a while, I would highly suggest you try to experience it in chronological order. Starting with the vanilla world, moving into TBC, WotLK, etc. You can easily google the chronological order and Chromie is able to direct you into those timelines. Dragonflight is definitely a friendly new-player experience, but if you enjoy the actual stories in the game then you’ll love being able to quest through the zones that tell those stories in order so you can piece together “why” things are the way they are. You’ll also be introduced to key characters that have significance to the story. Characters like Malfurion or Tyrande. Jaina, Arthas, and Uther. There’s *a lot* of story that can keep you occupied for a *long* time.

Hey man! WoW vet here, started playing since I was 11 (but been watching a family member play for a couple years before) and now in my mid 20s. It's a beautiful starting experience! You're truly experiencing the game like we did back in the days. The wonders in your eyes at everything, the beautiful interactions with the players, the crazy useless (but truly invaluable) quests you go through! This is so wonderful. There's no "right" way to play the game other than to have fun, and you're absolutely doing it the right way. Truly touching. I do notice that you want to know more about the lore of the game, and it's gonna be tough unless you're willing to watch lore videos on KZbin... which truly isn't the same as playing. But I think it can be fun to explore and learn little by little. I highly suggest creating a worgen and picking Gilneas as a starting zone. It's a zone that you can't leave until you're done with the quest chain, like th tutorial. But if you read the quests, you're in for a good time. This questline is one of my favorites!
@adinaholmes5269Ай бұрын
I have never clicked on a video so fast! Your sense of wonder and commitment to playing this game how you want to play it is such a breath of fresh air when so many folks have gotten jaded and wrapped up in displeasure with the direction of the game not going how they'd like it to go. But you remind me of all the things that made me fall in love with this game (which I didn't want to do ... I initially just signed up so my kiddo could explore with supervision) and damn it, every one of your WoW vids has made me weepy. Thank you for this reminder.

This series is genuinely making me emotional because it feels so much like how WoW felt to me when I was 10 and exploring the world for the first time with my 11 year old brother. It felt so huge and exciting, and we were always setting our own goals just like you are in this series instead of just following the questlines all the time. I would love to see you explore a spooky zone like Duskwood👻 or Drustvar🧙🏻♀️ and do some questing there! Many players argue they have the best quests in the game. You’ll need to go on your Alliance character though as the quests there are only available to them. To get to Drustvar, visit Chromie in Stormwind and switch your timeline to Battle for Azeroth and it will automatically give you the quest to start your journey! Thank you for these videos! I’m loving them!
@lordsaviorswarmthatwalks3385Ай бұрын
If you are interested in learning about the full story of the world IN GAME, then there is a nice trick. you are already aware that you can revisit old stories of prior expansions by using chromie timewalking right ? the thing is once you reach 70 it will automatically kick you out of chromie time. so, what you want to do is, once you reach 69 (nice), you go to orgrimmar to an npc that can block your xp gains. so you'll stay forever lvl 69 until you talk to that npc again to unlock the xp. then you can just do the full story of each expansion in order. Just pick Burning Crusade then when you are done with it go to chromie and pick wrath of the lich king, etc etc... It's a really nice natural way to learn about the whole world in game. then if you want the story of vanilla wow just play classic era ^^ have fun ! :D

Platinum WoW has some FANTASTIC videos about specific parts of the lore/story. Honestly just playing the game and looking up specifics you want to know more about is a great way to start.

Glad you got to see some more of the game's magic before being plunged into Vashj'ir! The music and atmosphere makes it one of my favorite zones, but a lot of folks hate it and I can see how thalassophobia makes being there pretty hellish! I've really liked how you've set your own goals that have let you see a whole lot of Azeroth!

I'm so delighted that you found Veritistrasz and got to enjoy his quest. He was such a wonderful character to run into and get to just sit and learn more about. I don't want to give you any spoilers, but it's worth mentioning that there is a book you can pick up in the Waking Shore that will give you more dialogue with Veritistrasz. It's in a place that is dangerous, and involves the Black Dragonflight.

I never comment on anything or subscribe, but once I watched this 3rd video and got the part where you bought The War Within, I gotta cave too because you really deserve it! such good editing and just so fun to watch how you're interacting with the world. you're playing the game exactly how everyone watching remembers it back in the day and its epic! please keep playing the game the way you want to, because its awesome.

I appreciate someone playing the game as I still play it, 17 years later: to appreciate the world. I've seen every square inch of the maps, and I still zoom into first-person every single day and turn the HUD off. It's easy to lose the true scale of the game when always zoomed-out and staring at the ground and staring at bags and quests and hotkeys. Once you nix the UI and zoom-in and start looking UP, the game feels huge and immersive and enveloping again. I really, really like to see new players doing this, thank you for fully appreciating the world!
