What gets me is most of our politicians on all sides of the water lived through or had relatives who lived through and spoke of these wonderful times with a warm heart, can they not see the mistakes in making these memories obsolete for a new plastic society bereft of characters and where everyone is now asleep by nine with the depression pills.

Sadly this is happening all over the Western World. Somewhere along the line we lost ourselves.

I hear ye, money is an addiction like much else. Most politicians suffer that addiction and in process destroy much of the good in the world.

Irish people are unique ! but they are not friendly to Africans, especially to Ethiopia! I wonder why Irish government in the UN always stand against Ethiopia? This hostility maybe not known by Irish people! We see them attacking our country, I mean politically with America! What are they up to? What makes them to have hostile stand? Anyway We love the Irish people thanks!

I think you are very mistaken or you have an extremely short memory. one or the other. I feel you have a sense of entitlement or something. What does Ireland owe to Ethiopia anyway?

I don't know where you are coming from with this but the UN have been in Ethiopia for many years supplying Aid and humanitarian support, along with that the Ireland is open to people who flee the tigray conflict along with other conflicts, if you see Humanitarian support and protection as against a nation well then I wouldn't know what you consider help...
