An unusually laid-out town, with the Uptown being the original business center, but growth has followed I-15/90, which were built around the city. Rowe Rd. and Montana St. were mainline (or City) US 10, with Harrison, Arizona and Utah another, and Centennial and Front Sts. as a bypass. US 91 came in on Fir and Park, hooking up with US 10 uptown and then out on Excelsior. An unmarked four-lane divided road off the interstates became I-115, which runs all of 1.1 miles back to Excelsior. Montana records show it was built starting in 1958, and it appears the I-15/90 project superseded it. The city itself looks old, which it is; newer parts along I-15/90 aren't shown here. There's been some preservation and a few new buildings designed to fit in with the old. Older housing stock prevails here; the newer is to the south.
