I live here, and have for three years. I live in a nice area but lets not ignore the rampant crime that plagues Helena. The town feels like a much bigger city in terms of the crime that occurs.

Their Capitol is rather nice. Not a handbasket in sight. Last Chance Gulch: Duels daily. And the Wells Fargo right there on the corner so you can catch the stage outta town. It appears the railroad station's been preserved, along with the brick street and some old rails. And there's the garage that has the rough-hewn rock of the rest of downtown. Junction of US 12 and 91 (now I-15); back in the day US 287 was a state route before an upgrade.
