Butter Chicken Beaurocracy Welcome To India!- Sailing SV Delos Ep. 68

We sail into the Indian port of Port Blair and prepare to check in. The process is the craziest we've ever seen with heaps of Indian Officials visiting Delos from Customs, Immigration, and the Indian Navy. Customs decided to lock up our Iridium Phone but eventually we get our clearance finished.
We go on a beer fueled exploration day to fill our bellies with local food and the girls shop for their new sorrees then give us a fashion show. Pretty soon it's time to set sail and we leave to explore the Andamans Islands!

If 'island time' wasn't invented in India, India surely helped it along. It's well worth putting up with the BS bureaucracy to enjoy this beautiful country and it's people. I was in Chennai about 15 years ago and miss it so much. Thank you for sharing, you put a grin on my face for the entire video! Ladies .. you all look beautiful in your native garb. Yes, we can now launch satellites in the most economical way in the world. I think 2 years ago one of our rockets had a payload of 400, yes 400 satellites and we placed them all into orbit in their designated place. Yeah that's why the tuktuk was looking at you guys funny. Protip: The science behind opening the can is tap the bubbles of the walls of the can and make sure they are on top of the liquid. After opening, the bubbles want out of the can really fast and thats unavoidable. When the bubbles are still on the walls of the can, the bubbles push out liquid first. When the bubbles are on top of the liquid, they have no liquid-resistance and do not spray, but only hissssss.

That is some serious bureaucracy, I think what makes it easy for you guys, is that you have such a great attitude as you tackle the constant changes and requirements. it seemed the military guys were much easier to deal with, chill compared to the civilian officials. +Depronized Yeah, it takes up a MASSIVE amount of space especially since we bought our new Sony which records in 4K. We used to have stacks and stacks of 2TB USB's on the boat but recently just upgraded to a pretty decent SAN so got that sorted. We do keep all the original footage in high-bit rate. Fair Winds! rest of India is okay, but just the andamans are restricted. That because of indigenous people living cut off from the world. They shoot arrows and are literally cavemen. Just google " North sentinel islands" youll see cray stuff.. so Indian government restricts the movement
