Brian and Karin. I just completed watching ALL 74 of your videos. I simply wanted to congratulate you on your hard work, not only sailing, repairing, cleaning, cooking, etc., but especially for your beautiful,, extremely well edited videos. On a personal nature, Brian I am not sure I have ever watched ANYBODY do ANYTHING with such a calm, even handed attitude as yours. Most people would show frustration, anger, etc., but you seem to take it all in evenly and just "get her done" without fanfare. And Karin, thank you for all of YOUR hard work, and early morning hours on watch. You are a TROOPER! Keep up the good work!

great video guys. Lov the way u go native, u guys r fearless n when going native that can b a beautiful thing. I really enjoy the fact that u r not out to remake a "globe trekker" episode, but showing us a glimpse of sailing life, real life with its ups n downs, the good the bad n the ugly. it's really a sweet thing that u guys r not the "Ugly Americans" or in Delos's case Ugly Foreigners:) love the way u guys are not judgemental accepting folks for who they are n where they r. Really loved Josje comments/insights, specially at the wedding n after the run-in with the police n then saying, "trying to rap my head around it" that can be so true when traveling in the 3rd world n u could hav complained, been shocked even insulted, your analysis was spot on, yet no judgment. All ur videos r pretty cool n special to me. but this one really touched me n for me at least it captivated your beauty. May u always have favorable winds n best of luck to u all.

Definitely my favorite Delos video ever. Nothing like India for bureaucratic b.s. Like other commentators, I loved Santosh. What a guy. I laughed at 21:00 when Brian told him in his best pidgin accent to say "pick 'em up anchor" (sounded more like something Tonto might say) but Santosh properly said "pick up 'da anchor". Way to rise above it Santosh.

Hello all! My wife and I were in the first 50 sponsors on Patreon. We'd like to say thank you for sharing your experiences. This is the first time we have posted anything. Your sharing of your experiences is wonderful and reminds us of our times backpacking across Europe. Which incidentally we did separately and with out having met. There is something about the spirit of adventure and the thrill of not knowing what the next day holds that drives us to bring out the best not only in ourselves but to also seek it in those we meet along the way. You have done an excellent job of distilling this out into your videos.. My hope is that our paths cross as we drink in this amazing planet and all the many blessings it offers up in the most inconspicuous times. We are currently in a time that keeps us from fully engaging in our wanderlust so that we might make the best possible way for our children who are now, amazingly entering their time of life to find thier way in this world. As we look forward to our possibilities, bad well as yours, our hope at this time is in the Caribbean. We realize this is a long way off for you and with that , hope that by the time you are nearing this part of your adventure we may be able to join you for a portion of your time there.. Tight lines and favorable windsBrad and Melissa

I love your videos guys! You guys are awesome. 3 cheers to the Delos crew!. Butter chicken bureau-crazy! That was funny. FYI: India has as much freedom as America does, if not more. The andamans, nicobar, and lakshadeep islands are protected littoral union territories of India, so they have different rules than mainland India. Even indians who are not native to those islands have to go by these rules, and need special permit to visit or live in those islands. In addition these islands are sensitive from a military standpoint. I think some nut job went paranoid and called the cops. Just bad luck. Otherwise they would have had a good time. Santosh seems to be cool dude. cheers to him! BTW.. on a humorous note, you can't really blame the Indians on being paranoid about white people. The last time they showed up at India's shores, they said they came to trade, but within a few years the put the gun to indian's head, colonized them, sucked the place dry, rendered them dirt poor, and didn't leave for another 200-300 years. :P

Absolutely brilliant, guys! The BS you encountered when saying goodbye to Santosh was unreal. To say the locals actions and reactions to your presence was like a cheese grater up the back of my neck is something of an understatement, but you all handled it (or appeared to) a hell of a lot better than I would have likely done. Excellent! I really look forward to seeing your videos. So much so that I think I might just start from the beginning again. 4 words that could sum up your entire Andamen visit ... Definitely Maybe Making Progress. People slagging on India need to chill out. I've done five different trips to India and have loved it every time. It's NEVER what you expect but it's charming all on its own. Yes the bureaucracy can drive you silly but if you smile and let them know you, the people you meet will easily make it all worthwhile. Santosh of is a great ambassador for his country and I've met many like him. While there were challenges, that's all part of travelling in third world countries - I don't think the Delos crew would take back those weeks for anything. I've seen similar or worse in places like Zimbabwe and Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. It isn't all white beaches, bonfires and sundowners at sunset. Thanks to Delos for showing us the other side. I think Brian got it right that the worst part of travelling is saying good bye to all the cool people you meet. The Indian people let them into their lives (and wedding) - that's awesome. Who cares about a few paper pushers who were well trained by the British at the end of the day anyway. The hassles, crowds and uncertainties just add to the experience to make sure you never forget it.

This video should be the template of how you do your other videos. While boobs and sailing are awesome, videos like this that tell a story and have multiple sub stories of their own is what really makes a great compelling video. This is a great video for these reasons: 1) Beautiful Interesting location with its own story. 2) Interesting person who adds adventure and more story that is not part of the Delos crew. You should definitely be including more non-Delos crew into the story line. 3) Adventure to be documented. Going to the wedding, dealing with the Indian bureaucracy, going to Santosh’s apartment and the No Fault Of Your Own trouble your presence caused. 4) Just telling the story of what it is like in a far away land that most of us have never heard of and would never find ourselves in. 5) The music was really good and fitting to the location. 6) Just the fact that it looks like you guys are having a ton of fun.
