they didn't do the job. you just pulped your hair endings that way. it may work at the beginning, but after a while, your hair starts to split up and crush. if you want to cut your hair at home, you must do it with very tiny parts and very sharp scissors

I'm a 50/50 natural salt and pepper and people think I've colored my hair...lol. My girlfriend is older than me with not one grey and wishes that she had grey hair. I'm almost 50 and stopped coloring my greys at age 40 because the semi permanent color was changing my hair texture to something that I did not like. Hair changes as we age and my hair is actually thicker now since I stopped coloring. I say just appreciate whatever you have and yes this woman color is beautiful on her. Grey doesn't make you look old imho she looks great!

This is fine if that's the look you want. Someone said they can do it like a stylist does. Not this way you can't! I guarantee a stylist does it differently and saying it's the same is not correct. Even the point cutting is incorrect. You have to hold your shears at a slight angle when point cutting or nothing gets cut. I think this cut came out fine but it is not the same as a professional haircut. No one will convince me that it is. *Shears...they are called shears, not scissors. At least in the professional world. Just clarifying, don't have a cow over it people!

My daughter and I have healthy, long hair and nothing to envy from a professional stylist. I am from Colombia and here many stylists cut the hair that one tells them to, and they charge what they want, it is a dilemma to find a good professional, there are also some hands with bad energy, I don't know if you understand me, they wither the hair of the client, it stinks, it doesn't grow, it looks ugly with the days. I cut my own hair during lock down with normal scissors. I'm no expert and when lock down was over I went to an award winning hair salon and the salon director said I did an amazing job cutting my own hair. I said I want yo be a hair dresser for him to say I'd di a fantastic job and he wasn't just being polite as his colleague all agreed including the salon director. Yes hair scissors work best but don't go to say normal scissors cant create a decent hair cut. I even cut some ones hsur for get and her mum thought we went to the hair dressers. She said I did a fabulous job too she loved her daughter new hair cut

I did this Butterfly haircut 2days in a row because I had a Very sharp Angled long Hair in front & shorter in the back + my hair is waves little curle in it. 2nd day I had extra product so it smoothed out more haircut & I Even Ponty tail cuts on both. Turned out Fantastic . My Sister said it looks great & I cut alot of Shabby ends & thickness I have. Awesome !😅❤✌️💫😇

I've been front layering my own long hair for years. Back trimming I leave to the hubs. I just find it easier & more precise to comb it all in front of me & do it in the mirror. As for scissors, I know there's a difference when comparing to barber scissors, but have always used a pair of 1/2 decent fabric scissors (a step up from paper). I've never noticed more split ends developing, vice going to a stylist. Anyway, for all the people that don't like it?? You just keep doing you, & pay those comments no mind... I a firm believer in doing whatever makes you happy with yourself!

Looks beautiful, my hair is that long also but when I do mine the first in front cut , I comb my hair side ways with the comb then I do a down ward cut, I don't cut across then I finish up like you do then I cut across the back .. the front lays down perfect there is no puffy sides they lay flat with the rest of my hair.. it's like a swoop cut for the front . But it's the same look without the poofy sides it all blends perfectly like you went the salon plus if you wanna do a side look it stays and swoops it's awesome..
