Have to say this is the most unexpected review ever. Especially in 2018. I mean T05 ? I don't think there is any other rubber, which has so many information about it on the internet like T05 in the entire table tennis history. Basically every other rubber review has to answer the question, how does it play compared to Tenergy 05, because thats the rubber almost everybody knows.
@Wisstihrwas3 жыл бұрын
I played Tenergy05 on a Timo Boll ALC blade right from the start of my tt 'career'. Its an absolute beast of a bat. Since i did like 10y of combat sports i have no issue keeping up with speed of it, excercising the right technic. I fastly climbed up in skills and in the ladder aswell (started to beat much higher ranked club members). Now on this new level i feel like i lack some controll with the bat. Therefore i switched Tenergy05 Fx. It feels like its a little bit more soft, thus your moment of ballcontact is a little bit longer, leading to more time on the ball... If all hell breaks lose, i switch to my second bat, which is the michael maze magic from butterfly with xiom omega elite IV on it on both sides. This bat offers a little bit less speed but more spin overall. Since its no carbon you also feel the moment of contact better in comparison with the Timo Bolls ALC. Overall i'd say im pretty happy with both bats. And also the strat of having to bats which are comparable but one is a little bit slower with more controll worked pretty well for me!

I have recently bought 2 sheets of 05 after many years of not using Butterfly. The difference of Tenergy to other rubbers is still tremendous, table tennis finally makes fun again even with plastic balls. I can honestly only recommend if you have the money to use tenergy rubbers.

Hey Dan, It always a pleasure watching your videos, its quality, editing and the content. I always look for review comments from upcoming/club players rather than players who are well versed with the marketing strategy of brands; one of the reasons being that players who are using such expensive products have got them without paying anything whereas an upcoming player would've bought it and will know its actual value. In your next video, I expect a female player from your club, who is a league/local tournament player, who is not sponsored by any brand. I do understand that it is difficult to get equipment sponsor for such videos, but that is something what I look forward to. Cheers

Here's a review of the Rakza 7: IT FUCKING SUCKS! Happy?
@ttjesus49594 жыл бұрын
Seriously though, the Rakza 7 is horrible for anyone who plays at the highest amateur level or professional level. Doesn't matter which blade you use it on. Doesn't matter which side you use it on. It fucking sucks. Anyway, don't worry so much about rubbers, if you're not at the highest amateur level or a professional. The blade is 80% of how a racket plays. Rubbers are 20%. Pay up for a great blade that has characteristics that match your style. Then, get a rubber that has the right throw angle for your forehand, and a rubber that has the right throw angle for your backhand. You'll notice that a better blade for you changes how rubbers behave quite a lot. I'd recommend paying up for everything and just being happy with everything. Save up to get the best. But, make sure your skillset matches which top level rubbers and blade you choose. Either way, fuck Rakza 7. I'd rather have Rasanters all day, if I'm not going to pay up for Tenergy or Dignics
@markjmarkjack4 жыл бұрын
@@ttjesus4959 I had good results with Rakza 7/ R7 Soft on my Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Special but it currently has Tibhar Evolution MXP on both side of it.
@ttjesus49594 жыл бұрын
@@markjmarkjack Depending on how much you play and what level you are, definitely get a better blade. If you want the best of the best, go for Butterfly. If you don't want to pay top dollar, then Donic is the best of the rest for blades. Xiom have some interesting shit too. But, they're hit or miss, and some of them can be heavy. I personally am a high level professional. And I just switched from the Primorac Carbon to the Revoldia CNF. Tenergy 25 on the forehand, Tenergy 05fx on the backhand. But, I tried the Dignics 09C on the forehand and Dignics 05 on the backhand. And I also tried Andro Rasanter R53 on the forehand and R50 on the backhand. The Rasanter R50 is one of the best backhand rubbers of the middle price range. You may find one of the Rasanters to be suitable for your forehand too. They're definitely better than Tibhar and Yasaka. But at the end of the day, the rubbers aren't as important as the blade is. And the Revoldia CNF is the best of the best. It has every gear possible. The technology makes it feel like wood and play very soft on pushes. But, it also makes it play like fast carbon whenever you want as well. It can do it all. Usually goes for $399.99 though. The best blade that isn't Butterfly is probably the DHS Hurricane Long 5X, commercial version of Ma Long's blade. $200 usually. And btw, go to prott.vip if you have any interest in actual pro versions of blades and rubbers. They're all legitimate. And no, I'm not affiliated with the site in any way. I just know that it's a way to get pro stuff, if you want it

I'm also a long time Rakza 7 user. I tried Tenergy a few years back to see what the hype was all about. Found that it was very similar to Rakza 7, but did not last so long and was a lot more sensitive to fine angle of attack hits [plus Rakza 7 was significantly cheaper]. ie, going for maximum spin short serves, or fine contact high spin counter looping there were relatively many instances where the ball just squeaked off the rubber instead of the rubber maintaining grip - anyone else get that ? Anyway I went back to using Rakza 7.
@mobiusnnaito25436 жыл бұрын
@@johangamb did you use plastic ball?some people said rakza 7 lose some spin with the new ball and experience slippage..rakza 7 soft grip the new ball better so they said.
@johangamb6 жыл бұрын
@@mobiusnnaito2543 Yeah actually I did switch to Rakza 7 soft (from several years with the hard) round about the time the plastic balls came out - did not consciously consider it being due to change in ball, just happened to try it and felt that i got some of the original extra attacking shot security back that i had originally felt when i started using R7. Thought they had maybe just changed the production process slightly for the hard version, but yeah maybe it's possible it was the ball after all.
@markjmarkjack6 жыл бұрын
@@mobiusnnaito2543 I use Rakza 7 FH/ R7S BH with Nittaku plastic balls. It seems to play well but compared to the celluloid Stiga balls it feels lighter. The polyball feels faster off the rubber and the celluloid seems to have just a little more spin but that may be because the Stiga is heavier.
@fedor65956 жыл бұрын
Razka 7 is great for amateur to intermediate because it’s not as sensitive to incoming spin but it does not last anywhere near as long in my experience. For players who need that extra 10-20% speed and spin Tenergy 05 is a much better choice.
