Love following your adventures! I’m a female truck driver- 18 wheels in a big Peterbilt 379, hauling steel and steel components on a flatbed. After being a nurse for 20 years, I started over in trucking. I am 47. I truly love seeing people live their lives to the fullest. Hello Jan - I just finished watching your last episode and I enjoyed it. (I played it twice back to back) I think the sound of your voice reciting a poem by Walt Whitman is pure pleasure. I sure hope you can do more of that in the future with your favorite poems. I think you have a perfect voice for poetry. A few of the things that make you beautiful are your calm soothing voice, your sincerity, and those penetrating eyes that make me feel like you're talking to just me. The next best thing to actually being on one of your adventures is watching your pod cast. Would you, in the future, be interested in visiting Vermont in the fall? Jan, I’m 67, so let me say, you just look really nice. No reference to age. I LOVE your journey. I lived and worked in AZ several years before retiring. Back in the SE US now, and really missing all my western adventures, so I’m enjoying vicariously through your channel. IF you are still in the Phoenix area consider a drive up to the white mountains through Globe. The road from Globe to Show low passes through the Salt River Canyon, and is filled with beautiful sights. The Show low, Pinetop, Lakeside area is really nice and cool. Much camping at campgrounds or free camping on public land. (Just keep in mind that reservation land is NOT public land. You can drive through, but you need a reservation permit to be on reservation land.) Please keep your great videos coming! Have a great trip!

@@ButterflyTracks I’ll also mention that Show Low is just about an hour drive south of the petrified forest! AND, if you ever find yourself in Winslow be sure to “stand on a corner” then head across the street for a self guided tour of la Posada followed by a meal in the turquoise room. FANTASTIC food! And the hotel is both steeped in local history and a current Amtrak stop! Of course, if you prefer Italian food don’t miss Mesa Italiana in Holbrook.

Butterfly tracks you've helped me so much at the beginning of my journey. I really love how positive of a person you are and so I don't want you to focus on someone's bad mood comment cuz on another day they'd be saying something else. You are so brave and courageous to me the desert is intimidating to me. It's so funny the perspective you're from Florida and didn't want to drive in the snow I'm from Minnesota and I don't want to drive in the desert but I want to see the desert it's exciting yet foreign. I'm in the North never intimidated by a bear or snow in my life. But the desert sands intimidate me so I laugh at the different perspectives we have. I love your quotes and I want your T-shirt. My whole family scoffed at my idea but the calling was too loud and I had to be on the road and hiking and glad that I did even without the support of anyone I personally know. I tried to let them know people do this. And our stories are different but our reasons the same. Thank you Butterfly Tracks I get inspired every time I see one of your videos the parts where you're on the road and seeing everything that's the reason for it all, the beauty. Oh, and I'm more comfortable sleeping at a lake than in a parking lot and I think that's a north-south thing too 😅

It's usually too hot and I'm used to our trees and lots of grass and fields and lots of lakes and rivers. Also ditches full of cattails. Lots of fruit and vegetable growers and wineries. no one should be living in their recliner; everyone should be out doing what they like to do whether it is traveling or hiking the Appalachian trail not allowing fear to keep them inside. Just on the news they interviewed a 92 year old gentlemen who goes down to the neighborhood park and picks up trash, the interviewer asked shouldn't you be at home kicking up your feet and he said NOOOOOOO, having a purpose is what keeps you going, if I didn't have to get up for work and to take care of my dogs I might just roll over in bed and never get up, my road trips start the day I retire (I use my vacation days to go camping), I'm only 60 so I got a couple years but in the meantime i'm getting Van fit out ideas.

Wow, I neither saw nor heard of the "band light" headlamp before. I have been casually researching headlamps with a view to buying one, and I REALLY like this style! Thanks!

Thank you, Linda Sue. 🙂 I like that it lights a broader area.

I just discovered your journey and channel today and since you were speaking of miracles my nickname was Little Suzi growing up and my sons nickname was Coco, unfortunately he passed but he always finds a way (my miracles) to send me love, so Thank You 💜 for sharing your adventures!

You are doing great living the way you want. I am your age and it's on my agenda to do for sure. Age is a number, some folk are mentally over the hill at a very young numerical age and vice verse. We all need to live the way we want in every moment

I started watching your videos from the beginning. Very nice and inspiring. I like your quotes and the landscape videos you’ve been catching are really nice. Nice speed of your travel videos and no glare. Nice job! Also nice choice of music to go along. It’s also fun to see who you meet along the way. How have the gas prices been where you are located right now? Also I’m sure you mentioned it earlier but do you have a home base and children? Thank you again for sharing and I look forward to your next video. I will be sharing with my sister, they lived by Flagstaff for awhile. 🤩 Blessings to you!

Thankyou, Cindy. 👋 Gas prices, ugh. I'm grateful that I have a plug in hybrid and I try to stay a little longer in one place when I can. I have two grown daughters that are doing very well. I don’t have a home base or storage unit. I didn't want upkeep, expense and brain-drain. 🙂

I can’t wait to start my camping adventures. Thanks for all the wonderful videos and tips. It would be nice to have links to some of the items you use. I believe you can receive a commission on anything that gets purchased through your links. You would have to asks some of the you tubers you run into. I’m sure they would help figure it out with you.

Thank you, SugarPlum Genia. 😊 I know, it would be good for viewers and good for me too. I do have an Amazon affiliate account. I haven't found the time to go back through all the videos, find the products and links and put them in the descriptions. I should make the time soon. 👍
