Thank you so much for the memorial at the start of the video, it definitely didn't make me cry a little. You're a good rider man! A few of those corners are WAY above me, no catches on a few of them too, they're actually a little terrifying. Also, Bernard rode a Pivot too, a Firebird. I think its time for you to try muttleys in nelson 😁 butters made a video a few years back. Check it out!

Of course, Nick. It's the least I could do. I saw Bernard's video of Mutleys a few years ago (and just watched it again) and I think it's probably a bit much for me haha. That is one Gnarly trail! If you're ever travelling through Welly with your bike let me know, I'd be happy to show you around. It's a seriously underrated MTB destination, there's some amazing stuff here.

I had a trip planned to start in Christchurch and make my way back home traveling north in a van back to hamilton over a couple of weeks but I ran out of time to do it, just did the sky fields in queenstown and nelson. Still a good trip though! Let me know if you're ever in rotorua too

I'd say the lower half is more difficult. If you can ride that fine you shouldn't have any issues with the top.

IMO the grading of tracks is not right. Grade 6 should be no way around a gap or jump or drop. Grade 5 can be for wheels-down steep. Grade 5’s are a joke at Woodhill and other parks. Bikes have come a long way but we still grade like it is 1995. Great vid though, thanks!

By that logic pretty much all NZ 6s are 5s.

Because machine built bike park jump lines are harder to ride than hand built technical descents.......right?
