My grandmother found a Victorian button hook in the bottom of a box she had that she only just remembered she had, and i now use the hook.

WOW, I am really liking the new effects like the one at 0:33 they really add detail and makes the video easier to understand, as well as the text animations.

Very Nice! It's obvious these boots were inspired by spats over dress boots, though I could be wrong. I also noticed that wearing colorful dress socks with loafers practically mimics button boots. It looked as if you were wearing white dress socks with black loafers when you wore those boots, and it looked great!

Oh, neat! I watch this channel because I love clothes, but I mostly know things about women's clothing in the 12th-13th centuries and the 1840's-60's (with the latter eras inspiring my daily wear). Buttonhooks are a very familiar implement to me, since a Victorian woman needs a buttonhook for her boots, blouse, dress, jacket, etc...speaking of which, if anybody is interested in an affordable, Victorian style buttonhook, historical reproduction show company American Duchess has one for $15 with a very wonderfully weighted handle, decorated in scrolling patterns. Victorians were very fond of teeny tiny buttons, so for me, a buttonhook is just as essential as shoelaces or an iron in making an outfit behave the way it ought to.

This channel's obsession with the details is borderline metaphysical. Raphael's got a video *about buttoning*. 10/10.

Hey, nice video! I've never seen someone wearing button boots nowadays. But why? They look dapper and classy, which brings me to the following, what about showing us some outfits with button boots? What can you wear with em? Are they only to be worn in a very formal situation?

Hi Rafael, I really fell in love with these boots. I looked for them online but can't find anything, and the ones I found so far they are around 700€. Any idea where I can find them under 200€? Thank in advance :D (BTW you have no idea how much your videos changed my life. in last year I went from the guy who always had max 2 pairs of shoes to have 23 pairs, and of course an entire new wardrobe to go with it )
@98LuckyLuk5 жыл бұрын
You will not find something like these for under 200€. J Fitzpatrick are the "cheapest" ones I am aware of. They are on sale right now for around 300 Pounds.
@anonanonymity36205 жыл бұрын
These boots aren't going to be mass produced due to low demand so they'll have to be made by a cobbler, which is good for you because then you know you're getting quality. However this means they'll be expensive. Save your money up, it's worth it.
@DubbleM9004 жыл бұрын
Very late reply, but Taft offers a somewhat lower quality button boot with snap buttons and a zipper on the inner side of the boot for $275 or about $250€ if that helps.
