My suggestion for this type of construction is to leave the back of the panel off of the frame and mount the front to the frame that way you can actually place wire holding tabs while you add components. Use bits designed to cut sides of the plexiglass (not regular pointed drill bits.

Watch part 2. The back panel will make more sense.

I would honestly recommend switching to tixotropic/contact glue for the controls stuck to the outside of the front panel. Hot glue is very sensitive to alcohol (among other things), if someone were to clean the plexiglass with say, windex, they're all coming loose.

Any particular brands you recommend?

@@MRBenchwork Turns out glue brands are pretty localized even though they belong to only a few parent companies. Anyway, I think Loctite Stik'nSeal Outdoor is the US equivalent to the Pattex glue they sell here, though there's a few local brands to me that work just the same. Neoprene based contact adhesive is pretty generic stuff for most applications. Maybe keep an eye out for UHU Por if you can get it, since it's specifically formulated to work with (expanded) polystyrene and not melt it, might be useful in some situations.

Nice. I’ve never had anything that complicated with that many switches and separate lines, but you make it look easy enough to try some day. Probably on my next layout!
