Hidden in the beautiful woods of Richmond, Rhode Island lies a dirty secret.... Rhode Islands last uncapped landfill encroaches onto the neighbors property with no regard. The Town of Richmond refuses to correct continual trespass issues and waste water run off problems.

It's a shame. He only briefly mentioned "Uncapped landfill" but, that's where the landfill used to be. They just poured dirt on it, planted grass and moved the landfill over. That old landfill was a dog park for a while until they had contaminated ground water coming up every time it rained. They had to close it. He didn't even show the sand and gravel place on the other side that has diesel trucks going in an out all day. I don't ride. I've never been there. If neighbors were trying to shut him down because of noise or riders riding their dirt bikes on the back roads ...... maybe. The town gave up on the environment when they never properly capped the old dump. Total BS.

Buy me a deer stand, let’s find a nice tree on your property to mount it, give me unbridled access to the property, I can have this problem fixed for you in about a week. People will not trespass on property that they feel they’ll be hunted on.

RI never really been dirt bike friendly. And that’s a shame. Most dont know we had one national MX race here in 1978 in Exeter. All the places we used to ride are gone and these guys in Richmond have gone against the grain to pull off a legal track. Hopefully things work out for them.
