This is great! Just one thing, the rink was mainly for roller skating, it was a huge fad in the later Victorian era, I believe it was only converted to an ice rink in the winter 😇

Hi Leo, very interesting history and again I very much appreciated the map overlays and original drawings and photos. I feel a visit to the park is must for me this year and I particularly like the architecture of the opera house and would like to see more of it. I’m pleased to report that my walk around the Chatsworth Estate was excellent, we were very lucky with the weather too, which is always a bonus.
