You asked about what kind of content we like I think what your doing is perfect, there’s no rules, a day with you by yourself in the van chatting cooking, a walk in the countryside or city, a pub crawl with Helen ,holidays, fish and chip reviews it’s all great I like the way it’s all very different, it mirrors what life’s like Life isn’t pub crawls everyday but it is pub crawls occasionally and that’s what you present I think your current format is perfect

Britain is a beautiful Country, but the average Brit will never gets to see half of it! I like the history and the beautiful buildings just waiting to be rediscovered, and their back stories being told in 2024! Homage to generations gone by, and a tribute to those talented architects, builders etc. The seaside videos are pure nostalgia, and again, highlight past generations and echoes the exact SAME fun and laughter enjoyed decades ago! NICE!👍

Agree, do what you think is best, that is why people watch you. If viewers wanted content on a certain thing or certain place, surely they would get up and do it or visit themselves. I know I would/do. Viewers want to just tune in and see something random, something you have decided yourself is worth doing. I wouldn't worry too much about this. Just keep doing what you are doing, just obviously try to improve it as you go, which is and what will happen the more you do it, I have seen the content and delivery improve Vlog by Vlog to prove my point. Not everyone is the same, and you can't please everyone, but I actually prefer the Vlogs you do when you are by yourself, you seem more relaxed. @@bythecurb

Something tells me that fella is known in every pub in Buxton. There's always some gob-shite in the corner of every pub, sat on his own, nursing his one pint for the evening, mouthing off about Japanese cars or something. His elderly mum is just glad he's gone out with his big plastic bottle.

tbh, we go to buxton a couple of times every other month, the first place we go to is the water fountain to fill two water bottles for while were walking around the town or market area then go to park nearby..sorry but if i was the person he was refusing to move for and just standing there to cause as much nuisance as possible like the pr#@k he was im afraid that he wouldnt be standing there very long.sorry i just cant abide idiots like him and he would have been on his arse as a pre-emptive strike as he would in MY OPINION have been about to hit me with his stick..sorry horses for courses and all that and personaly i would not have put up with a complete idiot like that treating either myself or my wife in that manner. lets just hope he never had the chance or opportunity to actualy breed. im 60 now and if one of my children had ever bought something like that home i would have instinctly looked down to his feet to see if he was wearing sodding clown shoes.

The shouty bloke at the well is well known in Buxton. He was re-settled from Parkside Hospital in Macclesfield when they closed it. Thousands of beds reduced to a 16 bed unit. Is anybody surprised that these characters are to be found. In the community they don't take their meds and nobody really checks up on them until they becaome a real nuisance. Very little of the money that was saved actually went into the community to replace the support they got in the hospital. Don't get me wrong, the hospitals weren't the right place for many of the patients/inmates, but replacing it with nothing was shameful.

That blue lagoon at Harpur Hill was only a small pool when I was a child. You covered Buxton quite good seeing that you hadn't been before. Where you parked up at Higher Buxton, that place does'nt get covered much in anyone's videos as a rule. I think you'll take to the place quite good in future. I was born and bred in Buxton, but live in Wales now. The winters at one time were gross. The town could be blocked off for days with the snowfall we used to have. I reckon you're a good down to earth person, so good luck with all that you do and your lady ,too, Many thanks for the showing of this film.

James the variety of your videos is spot on. Keep doing what you are as it’s really good. Really enjoy when you and Helen visit places and review the pubs. Me and My Mrs are visiting Knaresborough next month so if you can review there that would be great.

I think the variety of videos is the key, you get the mix right! Walking vlogs, seaside, run down towns and interesting villages are the best but I also love the fish and chip reviews! Kings Lynn would be a good one to visit, all of north Norfolk is surprisingly close 😊

Never try to argue with a man who has a chip on his shoulder the size of a spa town and mental health issues to match. It's the attention he gets that keeps him from moving along. He was clearly having a wonderful time, unlike everyone else there.

Honestly say when we walked around the well area never seen anyone block the well but I’m sorry for laughing the old man bless him on the phone to the police I couldn’t help but giggle 🤭 I understand why he felt the need to do it (to a point ) but it really was a ridiculous waist of police time 😅

Ayup, James. I was the runner at the well. Thought I'd add a bit of context for people on how it started. I was half way through a 20 mile run, and needed to top up my water. On approach, I saw this man had just started filling up his large bottle, and so would be a while. Because my bottle is only 500ml, I thought I'd just ask if he'd mind if I filled mine up, so I could quickly get back to running. I believe my words were, "Excuse me, mate, would it be all right if I quickly filled my bottle, please." Well, he looked back at me like I had just taken a dump on his shoe. And he said, "Noooo. You can be patient and wait. And I'm not your mate." Not the response I was expecting, but fine. "Fair enough," I said, feeling, and likely looking, a little shocked and surprised. I took a step back, and proceeded to wait. Unfortunately, he continued to rant and swear, and not long after is when you came along. I usually try not to engage with people like this. Just record, document, and move on. I think you handled it well, though, and I appreciated the support. You challenged him, but kept calm. No one got violent, and in the end we all walked away. Sound result. Great video, though, James. If you're ever back in Buxton, I definitely recommend a walk up to Solomon's Temple, and a tour of Poole's Cavern.

The man obviously had a slate loose and was just waiting for an audience. Walking away was probably the best thing you do because it took away his energy source. I think in your position I might have run a circuit of the park and then come back to see if he had cleared off.

@Kupojoejoe7971 are you aware you could have gone inside the pump house building and filled your water up. The gentleman was obviously having some sort of drug induced episode and you took the time to whip your phone out and escalate the situation. As for the old bloke ringing the police, what an absolute male Karen. Clearly you've not encountered the well on busy days during tourist season where tempers are even more irate with 20 bottles to 1 person.. you maybe a local yourself but you don't seem old enough to understand the local area and its locals. ...From a local Ex buxtonion
