Not much research was done before making this video obviously. Most specs and details about PSVR 2 have been out for MONTHS now. Confirmed to be one cable from headset to console, most likely through the USB-C port on the front. Doesn't take that long to search for facts before you speculate.

Also making the controller more like the Xbox controller is a huge win for log gaming sessions. The dual shock controller was always too small and cramped your hands and fingers. I wish they also would have copied the stick layout from the Xbox controller but the PS5 controller is a huge upgrade all around.

@@RARufus I regularly switch between both Xbox and ps controllers the stick placement of either has never made a difference to me. Through the generations iv had pros and cons with both. PS2 was good for the time but the og Xbox had the triggers but poor d pad and the white and black bottons weren't the best place. PS3 added triggers but they weren't as good as the 360 pad and the 360 was generally more comfortable and it copied the ps movie the shoulder buttons but still had a crap d pad. With the PS4 and X one for me they both fixed all there issues. The ps fixed the triggers and Xbox has a very good d pad and I find the both more or less as comfy to hold perhaps the more curvy shape is a bit nicer on Xbox but I find the lb and RB slightly more awkward then r1 l1 for some reason though it's a minor gripe. This gen the more curvy shape has slightly improved the comfort of the ps bringing it on par with Xbox. I haven't tried the new Xbox controller but for what I can tell it's pretty much the same and last gen.

The ps4 uses HDD while the ps5 uses a high end nvme ssd, totally different kind of storage tech. I can get 4 TB of HDD for less than $100. 4 TB of NVME SSD good luck finding one under $500. That's the reason why it isn't possible to get a 2 tb ssd on the ps5 because the costs for Sony would be way too much.

They could have added more but it would cost quite a bit more for the consumer to get a system. Also, kraken compression reduces file size on the ps5 and not the ps4. The new guardians of the galaxy is 60gb on ps4 and 31GB on ps5. So, effectively there’s not as much of a gap between the ps4 and ps5 as you may think

Something to mention is the compression technology of the ps5, it can compact games up to half the file size they would be on a ps4 so it's not as bad as it seems at first sight, especially if you don't play many massive AAA games or delete them after you've completed them.

I will say having the controller charging dock really helps. I used to think it’s so stupid you can charge your controller while playing, but then my charger port decided to not work right so I couldn’t charge and play. So got me one and I just put my controller on it always charged up

Yo check it. If you go to Gamestop, buy a new/used controller and get the insurance. Its like 10$ for new controllers or like 5$ for used. It lasts for one year but the cool thing is you can return the controller anytime before then in ANY condition. It can be in PIECES and they will take it and replace it. What is even better is that when you replace the controller, you can get new insurance for that one too and the year starts over. I've brought back perfectly working controllers and said that the charge doesn't hold very long anymore just to get a new controller before the year is up. I also had a broken one at home and bought a matching controller and took the broken one in 3 months later. GS sucks but take advantage of insurance, especially with the price of controllers these days.

Pro Tip, with LG TVs you can use your magic remote to completely control your PS5 consume media, just can’t play games with it. So if you have one you don’t need to buy PlayStations remote and you save on your controllers battery life!

Hey Jimmy, The Arctis 7X DOES work on the PS5. It has a dongle that has a switch that you can toggle between the proprietary Xbox setting and everything else. I use mine on my Series X, PS5 and Switch (plus vita and phone, etc.). It really is an awesome headset and the battery lasts forever. The Arctis 7P DOES NOT work on the Xboxes due to that proprietary thingy I mentioned. So go with 7X if you want to be able to use it between platforms. And it does look better in black and green imo.

Once again, I will mention that you should be using the Controller settings that will automatically power off the Dualsense after a certain amount of time so that when you're watching content, you're not draining the battery. That little white remote is not worth $30.

Your actually wrong about the Steelseries Arctis 7X headset, they actually do work for the PS5. I bought the Arctis 7X and I own both PS5 and the Xbox Series X and the Arctis 7X works great on both consoles and I bought them specifically for that reason, that they work for both Xbox Series X/S and PS5 (as well as Xbox One, PS4, PC, Android and Nintendo Switch). I would of bought the Arctis 7P but they do not work for both consoles, they only work for PS5(also PS4, PC, Android and Switch).

I got my FireCuda 1TB M.2 for $139 at Walmart. I first went to bestbuy and the salesman didn't even allow me to go look for one because "we don't have ANY in stock"! The first 2 upgrades I bought for my PS5 were a WD Black 2 TB internal drive and a WD Black 2 TB external drive. I skipped the VR headset because it was too disorienting for my taste and went with the Goovis Pro P2 which works with my PS3, and PS5. No disorienting VR and much lighter than a VR headset.

@@manunited1235 The catch is that PS5 games on disc will only load and play from the internal drive. The external drive can store PS5 games but not play them. PS4 games will automatically store and play only from an external drive on the PS5.

You know the button under the ps button… press it it will mute the controller mic and if you have a wired headset plugged to your controller that same button will also mute that headset mic too. it’s a button

The PS4 had an even bigger led light but I never had any issues with the battery. Even with the led light off on my PS5 controller it only lasts a day or 2. Led lights don't take up that much power to where it's going to lower the controller battery that much. It's probably because of the new number and haptic feedback that's causing the battery issues. I'm used to 20 hours battery life :(

Good thing you can plug and play, not ideal for people playing in their living room on the couch far away from the TV though. If you turn off haptic feedback and adaptive triggers it lasts much longer though, if you play PS4 games it lasts muchhhhh longer.

my best pro tip for the battery life issues on both PlayStation and Xbox, is to just plug them in to a regular wall outlet while using it. Works like a charm and there's always a outlet handier than being connected by wire to the console or having to stop playing because you didn't charge it

Prob the reason you threw up while using the VR headset is bc you didn't calibrate the eye to eye distance correctly. That happened to me once after my nephew used my VR headset and had changed the settings witbout telling me. I changed it back and afterwards, no more dizziness.

The arctis 7x does work on ps5, it is the headset I choose to use as I have a PS5 and Xbox one. The 7x and 7p both use dongles that you need to plug in to the system. On the 7x you can switch between two modes on the dongle. One for Xbox and one for everything else(ps5 included). The 7p however only has one mode which prevents it from working on the Xbox. Both the 7x and 7p will work with other devices as well such a phone, pc, switch, etc.

@@bmla88 On the PS4 it is faster than the original internal HDD, but still slower than an SSD I installed in the PS4, so I usually install older games on the external HDD and play them there. For more recent AAA games I move games that I actively play onto the SSD and just use the HDD for storage for the rest since it's quicker to move games from HDD to the internal SSD than download it again from the PlayStation servers with the network speeds where I live.

"I know 825 gigabytes seems like a lot" No.. It doesn't. Also it's not 825.. Mine reads as 667 gigs. Likely due to the room taken up by default with the system software. And with games like COD Warzone, taking up 110 gigs without the texture packs, or the MW multiplayer or campaign installed, and COD Cold War taking up over 200 gigs without the campaign installed.. If both games were fully installed, that'd likely only leave you with around 100-150 gigs of space.. Then with Warzone, you have to reinstall the entire game every time it updates unless you somehow manage 200 gigs of free space, since it 'requires', that to update.. Either way, with games coming up on the 1-200+ gigabyte range, It's total bullshit that they only gave us enough room on the console to fit 2 large games and a couple small ones..

Blame the developer for making a 200gb game, it’s a ridiculous file size. While it’s 667 gb, kraken compression in the ps5 reduces file size compared to the ps4 and series x, so it’s effectively allowing for more storage. Control is 26 gb ok ps5 and 43gb on series x. Assassins creed Valhalla is 42gb on ps5 and 73gb on ps4. Just a couple of many examples

Yea you definitely know you have adaptive triggers, but it never crosses my mind to realise that there actually is resistance, I automatically just press harder using muscle memory, plus if it is too hard for some people you can turn down the resistance level in the settings. In FPS games I just turn them off though.@@provokedamoke804

Arent you missing the fact that ps5 kraken and oodle compression reduces the size of games? So you will be able to fit more games on the internal ssd. Also the new Call of duty Vanguard is going to be a lot smaller due to their streaming technology. And if you have you have a smart TV then there is no need for the ps5 remote.

I have a new Sony TV and the remote works well with my PS5 and my old Sony TV remote works with it as well, there is always a work around. I have the Bravia 43' and it does the auto feature you talked about it freaked me out at first until I looked in the manual.

Anyone who heard him powering through the VR sickness don't do that it gets worse the best thing to do is take a break and over time it will get less and less until you don't get sick anymore also if you have a fan have it blowing on you and anything with ginger will curb the nausia a little this is a tip I have heard from all the VR tips and tricks when I researched before getting in to it.
