I bought a Tomlov DM 202 for pre-grading cards. I that along with a lighted loupe and it seems to work for me. The Tomlov is kind of expensive but it's incredibly easy to use. It also works for coins if you're into that

Yea ive been sending in stuff to PSA. And ive been getting good grades. I had run into a few cards like that select 1st year card you showed. Same light scratches on outside. Always wondered if it would make a 9. I may send a few in with light surface scratches and see how it goes. Forgot to finish with thanks for the video. Love your content. Always turn on your PSA submission video when i send mine in so i dont miss anything. Just.sent off my 4th submission during this special they ran. Bigggest yet. 105 cards. Tc

Looking for some kind of lighted and magnifier to "pre-grade" my cards and a jewelers lamp is looking to be the best option. My only question is: On that Jason Kidd Topps card that had the "smudge" you were showing, could you see it with your eyes when you werent looking through your video capturing device?

5x or 8x? I think you got the 5x but would 8x be better or over kill? Thanks for the great video!

Yes, You gotta use something like this in order to get better grades on cards. Do not just eye balls the cards.

Not seeing that Gretzky hit a 9 with that uneven/frayed bottom edge

It’s an o pee chee. It’s common to get psa 10s with rough edges due to how they manufactured the cards.

I have a major question? I have a set of 1991 and 1992 micro baseball cards complete set in the box I’ve had since I was eight years old. And it has chipper Jones rookie card and some other superstars cards in the set. Should I submit them to PSA?

Older cards, expect an 8 or 9. Super rare gem mint 10.

This is a very good budget friendly option.

On newer cards, you don’t have to pay too much focus on the back. Unless it has soft corners.
@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Жыл бұрын
What? This couldn't be farther from the truth. The back of the card is just as important as the front.
@Southpawdv007 Жыл бұрын
Print lines can be on the back. If you do not check every part of the card then you cannot determine the most accurate grade.
@bioniccop40 Жыл бұрын
Fingernail marks could be on back seeing it a lot in PSA Reval videos!!

He also likes to grade 90’s. If you grade modern cards, it’s so much easier to grade cards. Just know what you’re grading.

You need a magnifying glass for older cards. Newer cards, you’ll be able to tell within 10 seconds if you they’re a 9 or 10, PSA.
@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Жыл бұрын
Again, not true. Hairline scratches and smudges are easier to identify with a magnifying lamp. Especially when doing bulk submissions.

You don’t need this magnifying glass. You can review your cards under your kitchen lights. This dude ghosted his followers for over a year. It smells like a some dishonesty.
@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Жыл бұрын
There is nothing dishonest about this video. Fact check me. Cheers!
@cv_sports_cards Жыл бұрын
What's so dishonest about the video. He's providing info for people like he has done for years. How about if he had a issue with his real life that had to be addressed and couldn't do any content about the HOBBY LIFE cause this is a HOBBY RIGHT. Clowns like you are what's wrong with this hobby. You smell something, it might be your breathe or your ass. Any collector, seller, buyer of cards knows that you have to look over your cards with magnifying glasses before sending out your cards and getting crappy grades and increasing the pop count and losing money at the same time. Next time, go back and watch all of Matts content before dropping a nonsense comment.
