The Peugeot Landtrek is actually a Chinese bakkie with the Peugeot badge. The main thing is whether Peugeot SA will support the aftersales like the other Chinese brands, and that's where I think it will fail. Peugeot does not have a good reputation for after sales service.

i agree, he should just go to the source and get a good warrenty. People have these blinders towards Chinese cars but the best option for them and thier pocketbook is to get one of them instead of stressing out and getting a older car from a non Chinese brand that comes with big maintenance bills like belts or engine mounts, just so you can personally tell the Chinese to shove it.

I gave up long ago on trying to warn these folks against buying a gti. There are some who are even spending BMW levels of money on a Polo just because the Polo has a GTI sticker on it. You can't win with this lot trust me.
